Chapter 3.

The next day I woke up with the smell of something good.

I got up and went to the kitchen.

"Morning" Shawn smiled.

"Morning" I rubbed my eyes.

"Breakfast is ready" he said and we ate.

After we finished eating, I washed dishes.

"Aria" he said and I turned around.

I saw that he had a volleyball.

I raised my eyebrows.

"I challenge you a match" he said and I smirked.

"You got it" I said and I followed him outside.

He had a backyard and we played.

"You suck!" I yelled and laughed.

"I give up" he said.

"Loser" I laughed.

"What'd you say?" he said as he came closer.

"You suck" I said and I saw that he grabbed the water hose.

"Shawn" I backed up.

He came closer and started spraying me water.

I screamed and ran.

He chased me still spraying me with water.

I took the hose from him and sprayed him.

We fell down and laughed.

The next morning, I woke up and we ate breakfast.

"Shawn, I was thinking, I should probably look for a job. As long as I'm here, I wanna help you out" I said and he nodded.

"I was thinking, maybe I can ask your dad for a job. For like all the times I've asked for bread" I said.

"Sounds great, we can go right now if you like" Shawn said.

"Yeah" I said and we left and walked to the bread shop which wasn't that far.

We entered and Shawn greeted his dad.

"Hi Dan, I wanted to ask you a question. I'm looking for a job and I was wondering if you could give me a job, I want to help Shawn out with the rent and stuff" I said.

"Rent?" he said.

"You two live together?" he asked and I looked at Shawn.

"You didn't tell him?" I said and he shook his head.

"Shawn may I speak to you?" Dan said.

And they went behind the counter, and they didn't do a good job whispering.

"Why do you have a stranger living with you?" Dan asked.

"She's not a stranger. She needed someone, she was all alone dad. You gave her bread for a reason" Shawn said.

"Yeah but giving bread and letting them live with you are two different things" Dan said.

"Dad, Aria is a great person. You'll love her. Didn't you say you let mom live with you? Mom was homeless, her parents died and she was all alone and you took care of her. I wanna take care of Aria" Shawn said and I looked down.

"Alright then. I'll give her a job but be careful" Dan said and Shawn smiled and gave his dad a hug. And I smiled.

They walked back over to me.
