Imagine Your OTP: Person A country is at war with Person B's country. Each day they call each other, making sure the other is okay. The war was about to end, after one huge battle. The next morning, Person A called, but did not get an answer. Assuming Person B was dead, they left the country. Person B was alive, but their house got ruined in battle. Person A and Person B lived thinking the other was dead the whole time.
