Parvati ran up the stairs two at a time. Panting, she pushed through a tapestry, looked left and right and quickly sprinted left down the corridor.

Her breath came in short pants, trying to give her body the oxygen it craved yet she didn't slow down.

Eventually, she seemed to not be able to run anymore, she leant against a wall, her eyes closed and her chest rising and falling.

When her breathing had become more steady, Parvati slid down the wall till she was slumped against the wall.

After several minutes sitting on the ground, Parvati stood up and brushed off her robes, looking around to see if anyone was watching. When she had reassured herself that the girl following her was gone, Parvati stood up, her legs shaking slightly and walked towards the window.

The sun was shining outside, sparkling on the patches of snow that still remained. She leant against the window sill and pressed her forehead on the glass panes, enjoying the coolness on her flushed face.

Not much had happened in the past few weeks, Parvati had avoided Dean and talked to Harry more and more. They used to discuss the upcoming task, but Harry now became anxious and flustered whenever it was mentioned.

Now, with only a week till the Second Task, Parvati had barely talked to Harry who spent hours in the Library with Ron and Hermione.

Those three confused her immensely. It was apparent Ron liked Hermione, seeing how he reacted to her attending the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, but Parvati used to believe Hermione and Harry were going to be an item.

That was before Parvati had developed a crush on Harry, now she didn't want Harry and Hermione to 'date'. Parvati still believed Hermione liked Harry but she liked to believe Harry liked her, though... She doubted that was true. Parvati wasn't extraordinary; she was pretty but not stunning, clever but not a genius and funny but not a comedian.

Parvati's sisters and her friends hadn't stopped teasing Parvati about the article and it was becoming a right pain in the butt having their taunts bouncing all around the girl.

Parvati had run to this lonely corrdior on the sixth floor to get away from one of my sisters viscious friends called April, who seemed to love nothing better than asking her all about Parvati and Harry.

Parvati wasn't sure whether she asked because she like Harry and was jealous that Parvati talked to him or because she just thought the whole thing was hilarious.

Parvati looked down at the cold grounds which were thawing nicley now that February was into full swing and their were several brave students battling their way towards the greenhouses. Probably Hufflepuffs.

All the students had returned to school now and the day had just ended. It handed been the most interesting for me, including the classes History of Magic, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration and double Defense Against the Dark Arts. A very normal day. Which luckily didn't inclue Potions.

Luckily, they didn't have one class with the Ravenclaws which meant Padma, Lisa and Isobel couldn't tease her. Parvati pushed myself away from the window, and began to walk slowly in the direction of Gryffindor Tower where Parvati could complete her homework from the day.

When Parvati reached the tower she wasn't surprised to not see Harry, Ron or Hermione, they were never in the common room anymore.Parvati was surprised to see the usually trouble making twin, Fred and George, sitting quietly in a corner, whispering to each other.

Parvati looked around for Lavender and mentally moaned when she saw her sitting with Dean and Seamus. Her cheeks flushed as Dean looked up, meeting her gaze for a second before looking into the blazing fire.

Parvati hurried over and slipped into the seat next to Lavender, both Dean and Parvati avoiding each others gaze.

Seamus and Lavender noticed our silence and tried to keep the conversation going, asking Dean and Parvati questions which we answered bluntly. Dean continued to look anywhere but at her and Parvati continued to glance over at the porthole, wondering if Harry would return at all tonight.

Eventually, the two gave up on the conversation and allowed the awkward silence to envelope the small group.

"I-I'm going to go." Said Parvati, standing up and pushing her chair back,

"No, I'm sorry, Parvati. I shouldn't be acting this way." Dean said, also standing up,

"You have every right to act this way," Parvati smiled kindly at him. "I will just go to the dormitory and read a book or something." Parvati stretched out her hand and squeezed Dean's shoulder.

Then, she turned away from the table and walked towards the dormitory.

Parvati flopped onto her bed when she arrived in her dormitory. Her head hit the pillow and she massaged her temples, trying to rid myself of the killer head ache that had begun to fall. Parvati pulled out her homework and text books and spread them across the bed, pulling out her ink and quill and beginning to complete an essay for Snape from the previous day.

"Are you okay?"

Parvati had been consentrating so hard on the essay that she hadn't heard Lavender arrive in the room. She looked up and smiled tiredly at her friend, "I'm fine. Just tired."

"I'm sorry it's awkward between you and Dean." Lavender consoled, sitting behind Parvati on the bed and giving her a hug from behind.

"So am I, but I'm sure he'll be fine." Said Parvati, pushing back her straight hair.

"And I'm sorry you haven't been able to speak to Harry in a while." Said Lavender, smiling slightly.

Parvati laughed and shook her head, "You know me too well."

"It's obvious you like him and he is so busy with the second task... I guessed that's why you are upset." Grinned Lavender, standing back up.

"Well, you are right." Parvati said with a weak smile.

"Don't worry about him, once the second task is over, I'm sure he'll talk to you more."

"You reckon so?"

"I know so."
