// Nicotine //

Addictions... we call them.

The way he needs those breaks
to step aside and set fire to
those four-inch sticks just for
subconscious satisfaction—
He has an addiction.

But what about the way she
needs men to give her praises
between her legs? How she desires
sexual gratification on a daily basis—
She has an addiction.

Like the nicotine that caresses his
brain—she desires him. Self-depreciating,
confused, lost, and insatiable—
She craves him.

Like the undeniable feel of a climax that
takes her to unknown pleasures no man could ever
relate to—he desires her. Self-loathing, intrigued,
willing, and purely insatiable—
He yearns her.

When the two collide,
the nicotine and the need for other men vanish.
A new addiction transpires,
An overwhelming, indescribable ambience emits from the two—
Vibes crying out in harmony
But instead of listening to the unintelligible pleas
the two capitulate to their separate addictions.

Though,
that new addiction scratches at the surface,
demanding for complacency.
That tickle of need—
desire—
It cannot be tamed or ignored.

Like all addictions,
we must indulge them.

So let me indulge you.
