"Are they allowed to do this?" My mother franticly paced around my bedroom. I was packing my clothes and trying to hide my sadness.

"Yeah, apparently they can. I talked to King Reed and he told me that I am safe but I don't know if I can believe him. He also said that if I am harmed by any of the Werewolf Royals then I will be immediately removed from the situation." I sighed sadly.

"Will I be able to see you?" She sat on my bed and placed her head in her hands. I knew that my mother was scared and so was I but I wasn't given an option

"I don't know. I'll ask once I am settled in if you are going to be able to see me. I will do all that I can. We just need to think of the greater good, maybe this war will finally be ended." I closed my suitcase.

"You really think that this war will ever end Lumi? It will never end until there is no humans left to fight or somehow we defeat every Werewolf." I've never heard my mother talk like this before. She's always been optimistic but now I guess she is showing her true feelings.

"It doesn't mean that I can't try. Maybe I can do more by standing with them instead of against them. I hate their kind but I love humans and I don't want to be the next extinct species. I am not making a big enough difference guarding the castle right now so what do I have to lose?" I tried to plead my case with her. She looked at me and stood up.

"You always had such big dreams, never lose that side of you." My mother brought me into a tight hug. A big man came into my room abruptly.

"Ms. Ramos, we must leave soon." He announced in a very deep voice. I nodded and looked at my mother for a final time before grabbing my bags and walking out with the man. He led me to a van with darkened windows. I opened the trunk and threw my luggage in.

"I could have done that Ms. Ramos." The man commented and opened the door for the backseat.

"I am capable of putting me luggage away but thank you." I quietly remarked and got into the car. The man slid into the seat right next to me and a woman started driving the car. I knew that they were all Werewolves.

The car ride was very awkward. No one talked to each other. The Werewolf kingdom was really far away but we spent a few hours in a speeding car anyway so I assumed that we'd arrive soon.

"Are we almost there?" I finally gave up the silent treatment and asked. The woman checked her navigator.

"Ten minutes Ms. Ramos." She answered and turned her eyes back to the wheel. Why does everyone always call me Ms. Ramos? It's way too formal for me. I heard a ringing noise come from my pocket. I took out my phone and saw my mother's name come across it.

"Hey Momma," I was so happy that she decided to call. It hasn't even been a day but I have always been really close to her. Other than Dexter, she is the only person I ever really care about these days.

"Hey Lumi! Are you at the castle yet? Is the Prince kind? Have you thought of what you're going to say to him?" Her questions were shot at me.

"I'm not there yet but-" I began to say but the man next to me took my phone and threw it out of the window.

"Are you fucking serious?!" I screamed at him and he had an emotionless expression plastered onto his face.

"You are not authorized to make any calls." He calmly said as if he didn't do anything wrong.

"I don't give a flying monkey if I am not authorized! That was my mother, I could kill you right now." I spat. "I don't even want to be here with you mutts and you're just making it absolutely impossible." The woman growled from the drivers' seat.

"Do not test my patience, human!" She barked and the car began to go faster. Maybe she'll crash the car and get me out of marrying the Prince.

"Why what are you going to do about it fleabag?" I spat at the very frustrated woman. The man next to me covered my mouth with his abnormally large hand.

"You are going to get us all killed." He whispered in my ear. I was unable to talk but I still tried. The car abruptly stopped and the woman stormed out. I followed and saw a huge castle. It was absolutely gorgeous.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked the man who followed me out of the car.

"I'll have someone come and bring your bags to your room. Prince Enzo has requested your presence." He explained and placed his left hand on my back to guide me in the right direction. I was about to swat him away but once we walked into the castle, I was in awe. The whole place was decorated with black and red. The colors combined beautifully.

I walked the halls and looked at all of big windows. This place was not the scary dungeon-like castle that I imagined in my mind. I did not even notice when I was led up to two large doors. I began walking forward but stopped when I realized that the man had stopped walking with me.

"He is expecting you, alone." I nodded in response and tried to hide my nervousness but did a horrible job. I opened the door and I saw a room with a large desk and piles of unorganized papers everywhere. I made eye contact with the man in front of the desk.

"Prince Enzo," I acknowledged his presence. He was in a business suit and his hair was casually styled. "I suppose that you've called me in here to hear some of my ideas to help both species?" I asked him, trying to be professional.

"Take a seat." He ordered and I sat in a comfortable chair a few feet away from his desk. "I understand that you must feel very overwhelmed right now but some things need to be cleared up before you get settled in."

"Overwhelmed is an understatement but continue." I mumbled under my breath. He shot me a death glare but I ignored it.

"I was told that you caused a scene in the car with Selena." Enzo commented expecting me to explain myself or deny it.

"Yeah, one of your stupid mutts threw my phone out of the window." I shrugged naturally. I am usually a polite person but I have no respect for the beasts that have caused so many deaths including my fathers'.

"I can only keep you safe if you work with me on this. I know you hate our kind but all Werewolves hate Humans just as much. Selena would have has no problem with killing you in that car, you're lucky that she has restraint." He explained. How do Werewolves have any rights to hate Humans? They started this war!

"You think I'm lucky? I don't even want to be here! I was hoping that that wolf girl would crash the damn car so I wouldn't have to negotiate with the creatures that had a part in killing my father." My anger took over for a moment but I have a right to be a bit upset, I was never given a choice. The Prince's facial expressions changed from emotionless to angry. He stood up from his chair and towered over my small body. I watched him stalk towards me and stand directly in front of me. I stood up to act as if I was not about to piss my pants. His hot breath brushed over my face.

"Never say that again." Enzo looked like he could break everything in this room. I wanted to cower away but that was not how I was trained. "Do you understand me?" What was he so upset about? The part where I called them creatures or the part about me not wanting to be here?

"I'm sorry," I looked him in the eyes and he began to visibly relax. "that you can't take my honesty."
