Chapter 4: The death lockser

Gray's POV (the next day)

I woke up in the morning depressed. The only person I could think about was her. I can't stop loving her. I finally plucked up the courage to get out of bed and head to the guildhall.

Juvia's POV

Me and the girls woke up.
"Juvia you should totally wear this" Levy yelled as she scrambled through my wardrobe she held up a blue blouse with a black skirt with a teru teru bozu attached to it and my brown boots.
"I haven't worn that since I was fifteen!" I said
"Wait you're twenty-four now right?" Erza said
"If you count the time we were on Tenrou Island then yes" I answered
"Well you didn't age silly!" She said chuckling

I went to go try it on and tied my hair in a high ponytail leaving out my bangs.
"Hey Juves what's this?" Mirajane questioned holding a silver heart locket
"Oh um it was a birthday present from my mom" I answered
"You should wear it!" Lucy said from across the room
"I guess I mean we are having a fifteen year old Juvia throw back" I said scratching my head

Gray's POV

I walked into the guild still very depressed. Last night I kissed her, told her I loved her and she... she rejected me. I am the biggest idiot, this time I have really damaged her. I walked over to flamebrain and Lucy.
"Oh look it's the Man-Whore" Lucy grumbled
"Look I have apologised to her millions of times" I whined
"Really, she is different now. You changed her. She is unfamiliar to me. She doesn't speak in third person anymore. Her smile is unfamiliar and doesn't give us all the warm happiness feeling to us anymore" Lucy cried
"I-i didn't realise I caused that much pain for her" I stuttered
"You are an asshole ice princess" Natsu laughed from across the table
Then the guilds doors opened and there she was...

Juvia's POV

I entered the guild hall with my head held high
"Ohayou Minna!" I said
"Good morning Juvia!" My guild mates replied as I walked over to the happy couple. Gajeel and Levy of course! They have been boyfriend and girlfriend for at least 5 months now and they are honestly the most kawii couple you could ever imagine!
"Hey" I said sitting down as Erza joined us
"Hey Juvia" Gajevy said happily
"Juvia i need to ask you something" Gajeel said getting up and dragging me to the corner of the guild hall

Gray's POV

Is that really Juvia? I asked myself as a woman with now mid-length blue hair, sea blue eyes, and new clothes walked in. She looked so.. well different. Now I understand what Lucy was saying to me. She didn't seem familiar to me. Which makes me feel even more despaired.

Juvia's POV

"Okay so two things first thing" he said pondering. Two minutes passed
"Gajeel I am your closest friend SPIT IT OUT!" I yelled
"I'm gonna propose to Levy" he said quickly
"You're gonna WHAT!" I yelled bursting with excitement
"Calm down Rain Woman" "I want you to help me pick out a ring" he said
"Yes yes yes yes yes!" "Oh my Mavis!!" "I am so happy for you!" I said and hugged him
"Wait what's the second thing?" I asked curiously
"Juvia" "the black streaks in your hair" "When did they appear?" He asked with a small ounce of anxiety in his voice
"Wait what black streak" I questioned pulling out my small mirror and then I let out a gasp
"No.." I whispered
"Juvia is it the Death Lock?" He asked scared
"I-I don't know" I stammered (the death lock is slightly like the iced shell but the Mage has no control over it. The death lock can only happen to an elemental Mage which is a Mage with weather or natural power abilities such as the element four. It is rare for a death lock to happen. It is where the Mage has faced so much misery that it builds up and affects his or hers powers by backfiring them to hit the caster and if that Mage tries to defeat a powerful opponent the opponent and the caster will both end up in critical condition or face death. This is what happened to my mother)
"Juvia what ever happens do NOT use your powers until those streaks disappear and if they don't in the next two weeks we try and find a cure" "understood" he said "understand" I said back as he pulled me into a hug.
