"Stay the night," Grant whispered in my ear as I laid my head on his shoulder, watching the credits of Batman Vs Superman roll.
"M'kay," I mumbled, nodding.
"Let's go to bed, you're tired," Grant suggested, shaking me lightly.
"Carry me," I whined, putting my arms up.
"Just this once princess," Grant sighed, putting me on his back.
Grant carried me on his back to his room, gently setting me down on the bed once we got there. I lay down and he tucked me in. He climbed under the covers after me and pulled me into a spooning position. I fell asleep fast, happily in his arms.
"Goodnight babe, I love you," Grant whispered, kissing the top of her head lightly, but she was already in a deep sleep.
