"So, Serena, since you decided to sleepover at my home, should you be worried about your brother?" Ash asked after he had dinner with his younger sister, May and his newest friend, Serena.
"Nah, he'll be ok. He'll probably bring his girlfriend, Mairin, home and do something we shouldn't know about... yet" Serena answered
"Wait, what is that "something"? Ash asked back innocently, made Serena facepalmed herself
"You know, when two lovers get into one bed and-" Serena then got cut off by May
"Ok, ok, enough, too much information. We don't want this book to be a lemon, right?" May said, while the author was banging his head to the wall when he noticed the fourth wall was shattering
"I still don't get it." Ash innocently said. Serena knew Ash was dense, but she can't even imagine he was dense like that
"Ok, let's go to your room. May, you sure you don't need help?" Serena asked
"No, anything for my brother and his... girlfriend" May smirked at Serena and Ash, made Ash confused while a Serena blushed madly
"Hey kiddo, you dare say that one more time, I'll make you suffer for your entire life" Serena angrily said while blushing
"Big bro, your girlfriend wants to kill me" May fake teared, made Ash even more confused
"Ok, c'mon Serena" Ash said, leading Serena back to his room

"Your sister is an annoying twat, you know that" Serena was still angry at May
"Don't mind her. To me she's a caring and friendly girl. She maybe annoying, but who could blame" Ash answered with a smile
"All right. Oh yeah, where's your parents?" Serena asked but made Ash frowned
"I-I don't have parents. I used to live with my uncle and aunt" Ash answered back sadly
"Wait, "used to" so where are they?" Serena asked back, worriedly
"T-T-They're gone" Ash managed to answer, but he shedded a tear
"Gone where?" Serena asked
"Long gone" Ash answered sadly, made Serena kind of feel bad for him
"Can you tell me what happened?" Serena asked, then Ash told her the story behind

*flashback*
"Team Alpha, do you hear me, we need to break in that building" A man with a police armor commanded his team. It was Ash's uncle, Commander Alex Ketchum
"Copy that. Preparing the bomb" Ash's aunt, Sam Ketchum, ordered team Alpha. Their mission is to break in the building that was believed a secret hideout of a dangerous gang, as Ash and May was watching it live on TV
Team Alpha activated the bomb, exploded the wall and attacked inside. However, there's no sign of any criminal
"Guess this is the wrong place, let's head back and- AH!" Commander Ketchum suddenly scream in pain. When he looked at the back, he found a dagger stabbed
"Looking for someone?" A mysterious figure vocalled behind. Then there were some iron doors shut, locking team Alpha inside.
"Xantorus, I know it was you" Commander Ketchum said in pain
"Long time no see, my nemesis" - Xantorus responded - "And I kind of sad that this could be our last"
"What do you mean, you cruelty?" Commander Ketchum asked
"Let's just say there will be a little "firework show" inside this building. All right, goodnight, or should I say, farewell" Xantorus then disappeared. It was just his hologram
Suddenly, the building exploded, and the camera signal gone. Ash watched the death of his beloved uncle and aunt in tears, while May was stunted.
Ash and May's uncle and aunt left them their house. They promised to protect each other till the end
*end of flashback*

"That's what happened. I swear to Arceus if I know what gang was that and who was Xantorus, I will kill them immediately!" Ash said in pain and suffer, he was crying, made Serena shedded tears because of the story
"Ash, I'm sorry because I asked you that question" Serena hugged Ash to comfort him
"It's ok. I've found someone that could help my life better. It's you, Serena. People said you're unfriendly and violent, but I think you're different. You're the best friend I've ever had. You're the one I trust." Ash said made Serena smiled
"By the way, Serena, can you tell me a bit about your family?" Ash questioned, but turned Serena's smile into a frown
"I just don't want to talk about it" Serena answered sadly
"Just tell it, I'll understand" Ash wrapped his arm around Serena's shoulder
"Ok, fine. I was also an orphan. My parents left me when I was a baby. I was adopted by Alain, he said he will give me the love like a father. There, happy now?" Serena answered while sobbing a bit. Ash felt uncomfortable because of this, so he hugged Serena and apologized
"It's nothing. You know, we all had the same scene after all." Serena said
"Yeah, it's kind of like we're meant to be" Ash responded while leaning closer to Serena. Serena then leaned herself to Ash as well. They leaned closer, and closer, and closer.... until the had to push away because the author don't want to, at least, not yet
"Woah, that was close" Serena said, while both of them was blushing madly
"The readers must be expected "it" as well" Ash joked
"Hey, tomorrow is weekend, right? Because I will bring you to a friend I knew. Trust me, you two can be best friend afterward" Serena guaranteed Ash
"All right, just let me meet him. Oh, it's getting late, we should change our clothes now" Ash looked at the time
"Just let me go to the shower first" Serena ran straight to the restroom, made Ash giggling a bit

*timepast*
Ash and Serena finally dome preparing to sleep. Ash was about to take a mattress for Serena, but got stopped by her
"Ash, c-can I sleep next to you?" Serena's question caused both of them blushing
"Uh, of c-course, anything" Ash then laid down on the bed, and so did Serena. They tried to keep them a distance to avoid any awkward action while they sleep
"Night, Ash, tomorrow is the big day" Serena said
"Night, Serena"
Ash and Serena slowly closed their eyes, prepare for tomorrow. They became best friend right at the first met, and started creating a bond between them.

*yawn* okay, I'm going to sleep now, by the time I finished this it was freakin 12:00 am. But I will reveal a bit about the next chapter. They will meet a person Serena knew long time ago, and a shocking secret will be revealed. All right, that's all. Peace ✌️
