The Fighter sung by Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood

He knew she had been hurt before. Her ex had abused her, making her scared of love. He made her never want to love anyone again. He forced her to think that he was all she needed. He poisoned her to believe that no one else loved her.

Anna's precious heart was special to Kristoff. He knew it was fragile, so he never wanted to break it. Hans didn't know what he had and Kristoff thanked God for that. Hans dumped her after his mental abuse to her. Hans just wanted her to love him even when he was gone.

Kristoff knew it would take a little time for Anna to trust anyone again. She always thought that Hans was there, ready to shout and scream at her that he was her one and only. Being with Kristoff made her anxious, but he was patient. He knew that she would see that he was born to love her.

She was in the bathroom fixing her makeup. They had a date tonight and she wanted to look nice, every though he told her he thought she looked gorgeous with or without makeup. She didn't believe him because Hans told her that she needed makeup to leave the house.

He reached behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He laid his head on her shoulder, admiring her freckles. She had her tongue out as she tried to apply her mascara. "You look beautiful." Kristoff commented.

She scoffed and shook her head. She wasn't even close to done. How could she possibly look beautiful yet? "Whatever." She replied. She couldn't see the beauty he claimed to see.

"You look so beautiful." He awe as he twirled her strawberry blonde hair around his calloused hands. His hands were rough from playing his guitar and working in the fields everyday.

"Thank you." She blushed. She really couldn't see it, but his comments always made her feel special. Hans never did that for her. He was the negative nelly in their relationship. He liked to bring her down, only she was too young and stupid to realize it then.

Kristoff watched her finish off her makeup with a couple swipes and pops of cherry red lip stick. She looked like stunning goddess and he was blessed to have her in his life. He had been searching for his soul mate for years and he finally found her. If only she wasn't blinded by her ex's actions.

"Thanks for the lovely dinner." She smiled as they walked into her living room after their meal. She acted nervous all night. This was her first night out in public without Hans. Kristoff and Anna had hung out at each other's house for a couple months and tonight they decided to make it official.

Anna was thankfully that she was home again. She felt herself when she was away from the community's eyes. Small talk traveled fast in this tiny town. Hans was bound to find out fast and Kristoff would have to deal with him.

They sat down on her leather couch. Anna was dressed up in her shiny red dress. She always felt the need to impress Kristoff when all she needed to do was be herself. He could tell that she was anxious about tonight. She stared at the floor biting her lower lip.

Anna was his one and only and he wanted to be her only one. Kristoff wanted to heal all of her pain that she felt over the past few years. He was going to give her a love she never knew. He just had to show her and maybe she'd believe it.

He reached over and brushed her red strand away from her face, making her look at him. She batted her eyes, confused about his actions. He looked concerned about her, a look she hadn't seen in a long time. "What's wrong?" He asked.

She frowned, debating about pouring her worries onto him. He was the first guy to care for her after Hans so maybe he was one of Hans spies again. Or maybe he was being sincere. After fighting her conscience, she decided to screw Hans and tell him her problems. "I wanna believe that you got me baby."

"I swear I do from now until the next life." Kristoff answered, holding onto her hand. She frowned and looked into his brown eyes. That couldn't be true. Hans said that no one would ever love her as much as he did.

"I wanna love, wanna give you all of my heart." She confessed, letting her heart take control of her mouth. She wanted to find love again really, but her image of Hans was stopping it.

"Then why don't you?" Kristoff questioned, looking into her bright blue eyes. He felt like he was lost at sea when he stared into the memorizing colors. He could almost she the real Anna trying to break out of there.

"What if I fall?" She asked, bringing him back into reality. She had to know what he thought. She had to know what he would do compared to Hans.

"I won't let you fall." He quickly answered, letting his emotions take control. She scoffed, thinking that sounded cheesy.

"What I cry?" She fired back. Most men hated women that cried, at least Hans said they did. She wasn't allowed to show her inner feelings around him.

"I'll never make you cry, I promise." Kristoff replied. She cocked her head, surprised by that. He said he would never make her cry. That doesn't mean she can't, it just meant that he wouldn't be the reason.

Tears suddenly began to fill up in her eyes. He had to be lying. He sounded too good to be true. "And if I get scared? What will you do?" Anna croaked.

"I'll just hold you tighter." Kristoff answered. She began to cry, tears streaming down her face. He pulled her onto his lap, letting her sob onto his shirt. Hans would never do this for her. He would kick her out and shout at her to clean up her act. Women were just objects in his eyes.

"What about Hans? He'll want you dead and force me back into that god awful house." Anna sobbed. Kristoff rubbed his thumb over the back of her hand, holding her tight. He knew she was worried, but not this bad.

"When they're trying to get to you baby I'll be the fighter. I'll make sure that they never hurt you again." Kristoff promised. He didn't want to ever see her hurt again. Hans didn't deserve her and Kristoff wasn't going to let him take Anna away from him.
