the sound of the rain pelting on the asphalt was thundering. louis had had a pretty bad day and since it was raining and he was sat in the park. louis absolutely loved the rain. he loved everything about it, the somehow amicable sound, the sedative nature of feeling the condensation seep into your clothes. the way it made you feel alive, immortal somehow, the nostalgia of it all. he loved to slowly inhale in the air and slowly exhale it. he didn't mind the cold and the sticky wetness, he somewhat embraced it with open arms.

he loved that when strangers rushing to get home and out the rain passing by, could never tell if he was crying or not. with the salty tears being infused with the condensation and the bloodshot puffy eyes, it was hard to know if he was crying or not, plus no one noticed.

louis had always sat on the rusted orange swing closest to the bushes, and swung back and forth on the whining swing. he was used to sitting in the rain alone, no one wanted to be in the rain so he had all his privacy, so when he saw a long haired brunette with a cute floral raincoat on stalk his way, he raised a brow curiously and observed the boy that was advancing towards him.

it was a small boy with a feminine frame with a hint of shy smile on his face as he waved his strangely large hand at him before he spoke.

"um, hi, my name is harry and i-uh, i saw you just sitting here crying alone and i wanted to know if you wanted company." his voice was deep, weird, and slow to louis.

louis, being the sarcastic and sassy person he is, rolls his red puffy eyes and responds " no, i just sat in the rain alone away from people, because i wanted company."

but louis knew he would love some company, but if harry can't read him like he hopes and realize he doesn't want to be alone then, too bad. he doesn't want to seem vulnerable. he wants your help, but he needs you to actually try to make an effort because he'll deny any help but he actually wants it. you'll have to push and push. because if you really care, you'll try that much. right?

the logic sounded good enough to him.

harry smiled at him, seeing right through his facade. he could see it in his eyes, deep, deep in his stormy blue eyes he could see his desperate plea for help. so, instead of leaving him with a scoff or attitude, he sat down on the whining and slightly rusted swing along the side of louis.

"i thought so, that's why i'm here! I'm harry." harry chirps, lightly leaning forward on the swing, causing a groan/squeak to erupt from it.

louis wanted to smile.

"ugh, don't you have to go home or something. just leave me alone." louis fake groaned, it sounded real but harry could see right through it so he just laughed and shook his head.

"no, and i won't leave you alone either. 'betta get used to me because you'll be seeing more of me from now." harry said. and he meant it, he's gonna stay with this little stranger, maybe they'll become friends. he needed some friends anyway.

louis shrugged, "i'll just ignore you haz or whatever your name is."
