The small hole Shayne made in the window was the luckiest thing to happen today.
We tried to dig around it to free ourselves but couldn't.

It had gotten dark and Olivia fell asleep.
Shayne and I were still awake, each lying on one of the two front seats staring at the roof.

"Do you think someone will find us?" I asked.
Shayne turned to me, I could see his eyes twinkle in the slowly dimming light from my phone.

"Yeah.. I mean.. someone's bound to drive by." He replied.
I nodded.

"Did you guys check the phones again?" He asked.

"A couple hours ago.. we don't have reception anywhere here.. I don't think we will for miles" I sighed.

"Oh.." Shayne replied.
He when to shuffle up before wincing in pain.

"How's your hand?" I asked.
He held it over the light and came to the conclusion..

"Not good" he dryly laughed.

I frowned rolling and facing him.

"I-I'm sorry I got you into this mess." I muttered before writing with my finger on the leather seat.

"Why? It's not your fault" he protested.

"If it weren't for me you'd be safe at work.."

"So? If I weren't here you'd be dead" he laughed.
I laughed briefly before thinking to myself just how right he was.

"Thank you."

"No problem. Besides, I'd rather be here with you trapped under a mountain then be at work without you" he smiled.

My eyes widened slightly.

"You must really be hung up on me huh?" I said softly.
He dotted his head from side to side before looking at me.
I smiled back, trying to be comforting.

He slid his arms under his head and stared back at the ceiling.

"I.. uh.. yes." He said.
"Not much I can do- really" he slightly laughed.

The light on the phone grew dimmer before turning off entirely.

A discrete amount of moonlight flooded through our small gap.

I looked up at it before sighing.

"Are you okay?" Shayne asked.
I wait up in my seat and scooted over to his, he let one arm out from under my head and wrapped it around me as I cuddled into his side.

"Fine" I replied.
