All I could think about on the ride to the hospital was what Harry said last night. Harry was humming the song he sang last night , he looked like he was thinking about something. All I could hear was "I love you Jess"
Did he mean it? Did he think I was asleep? Did he even really say it? Harry snapped me out of my thoughts, "You alright?" I looked over at him and nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine." "Can I ask you something?" he asked.
"Go for it," I say.
"Who's Jacob?"
My stomach drops at the sound of his name leaving Harry's mouth. I shake my head, "Nobody." "You know you can tell me right?" he asks. "You said we didn't have to talk about that." I say, referring to that morning in the kitchen. "We do, when he's sending you pictures, and you're screaming at him in your sleep." he said.
I look at him confused as he parks in the hospital parking lot.
"Last night your phone kept going off and I looked to see if it was Matt, and it was him, and some very disgusting pictures, then after that you started screaming at him, I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't wake up." he said.
"So now you're going through my phone?" I ask. "No, it wasn't like that, and you were supposed to tell me if you got more messages," he said, irritated.
I pinched the bridge of my nose and leaned my head back into the seat, "Can we not do this now?" He gets out with out saying a word, I unbuckled my seat belt as he opened the door. I got out and he slammed the door behind me. Which caused me to jump a little.

My mom laid in the hospital bed, the same smile she had the day my dad left. The smile that said, "I'm not 100% sure everything's gonna be okay but we'll live through it." Matt sat in a chair and held her right hand, and I sat on the edge of her bed next to her left leg.
"Will you two quit looking so worried!" my mom exclaims. "I'm gonna be fine." We both laughed. I didn't understand how she can be unconscious for 5 hours and wake up like you were awake the entire time.
"Where's Harry?" she asked. Matt looks at me and I shrug my shoulders, "I haven't seen him since we got here." My moms eyes lock on me, "I-I'll go look for him." I stuttered. "No you need to stay here I'll go find him. He's probably off flirting with some skank somewhere around here," Matt stood up. I nodded, "I want to talk to him," mom said.
[Matt's POV]
I get halfway down the hall until I realize I forgot my phone, I can just call the idiot. I make my way back to the door, and I hear them talking.
"He needs to know Jess," my mom says. "He's your brother." What do I need to know? "He's gonna freak out mom," Jess says. "You promised me you were gonna tell him," mom says. "I'm gonna , I've - I'm just trying to find the right time," Jess says. "No," mom says calmly. "You need to do it together."
I push the door open and they quit talking. Jess is starring at her shoes, and mom keeps glancing at me. Mom sits up, "Did you even look?" I look over at my phone, and shake my head. "I was gonna call him but my phone's dead, Jess could you call him?" I asked. If looks could kill they'd need to bring a defibrillator to room 217 ASAP. She squeezed moms hand then walked out into the hallway.
[Jess's POV]
"Harry where are you?"
"I'm in the parking lot why?"
"My mom wants to talk to you,"
"About what?"
"I don't know."
"Alright I'm coming."
I hang up and meet him in the hallway. I can't fight it, I wrap my arms around his waist. "I'm sorry." He hesitantly wrapped his arms around me and sighed, "It's alright lovely." "Matt knows," I said. "W-what?" he asked.
"I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm pretty sure he does," I say looking up at him. "What are we gonna do?" I ask. He looks down the hallway. "We're gonna be okay" he said giving me a reassuring smile. "I promise."
"But what if he does know? How can you know that? What if my mom or Matt - -" he cuts me off "Hey, look at me," he said lifting my head up. "I promise you, no matter what happens or who finds out nothing is going to change."
"Trust me," he says into my hair.I nod. "We're gonna be ok." he says again. I give him a small smile before pressing my face into his chest again. "I promise," he whispered again.

Me and Matt have been sitting outside my moms room for about 15 minutes. He keeps glancing at me but he won't talk to me. I sit down in a chair and keep replaying right before I fell asleep and I couldn't help but smile.
"When do you think she'll be able to come home?" I asked. "I don't know the doctors said it should be in a couple of days or so," he said. "When you told me yesterday, I thought we were gonna lose her." I said picking at my nail polish.
"Hey," he says firmly, but gently. "Don't say that Jess. We're not gonna lose her, and we didn't lose dad." he said reassuring me. I gave him the best fake smile I could then Harry walked out, "We need to talk," he said and my heart dropped.
