"Finally!" Piper threw her statistics notes in the air, letting them float to the ground. "I'm pretty sure I failed at least half of those exams but at least they're done."
"That was a horrible idea. Now you have to pick those up," Charlotte gestured to the papers littering the floor. She was sitting on her bead with her legs crossed, watching as Piper danced around their room.
"It was a small victory."
"I'm serious. Pick them up," Charlie motioned to the scattered papers again.
"Fine, miss grouch. I got you a gift, but it's running late," she checks the time on her phone. "You're promised 4:30 and they give you an hour later."
"Pipes.. what are you talking about?"
"Your boy toy. He's not very punctual."
"You..," Charlotte's jaw dropped. "You didn't. But he's on tour! How did you..?"
The doorbell rings and Piper skips happily down the stairs to answer it.
"You're late," she cocked an eyebrow at Josh.
"My flight was delayed."
"No excuses."
"Josh!" Charlotte shouted. Piper ducked out of the way as Charlie ran into the arms of her boyfriend, hugging him tightly. "Great! You can help me pack!"
"You know, I really don't appreciate this," Josh said minutes later, folding one of Charlotte's shirts and putting it in her suitcase. "I fly in from Tennessee, make the hour drive from the airport, and you make me fold your clothes."
"I have to be out of here for vacations by noon tomorrow, I really need the help."
"She's right. They're kicking us out," Piper throws a pile of bunched up clothes into her suitcase and attempts to zip it shut. "Got any plans for Christmas, Josh?"
"Yeah, actually. Charlotte and I are spending it together. You?"
"Oh, no, I don't celebrate Christmas anymore."
"It's true," Charlie nods. "She hates Jesus Day."
"Stop saying that like it's a crime," Piper folds her arms. "Everyone always forgets that it's my birthday, so I never get to celebrate!"
"It's okay, babe. We get it," Charlotte pats her friend's shoulder.

Charlotte had dropped Piper off at Casey's apartment in Mount Vernon and was now driving to the Columbus airport so that the they could fly out to Josh's next concert. Charlotte played Panic! At the Disco through the car.
"You know, I personally know Brendon Urie," Josh comments.
"Do not brag about that to me, I will probably cry," Charlotte kept her eyes concentrated on the road.
Josh laughed, "Sorry."
There was a moment of silence.
"Hey, I got you a Christmas gift," he blurts.
"What? We said no gifts, Josh. I didn't get you anything," Charlie frowns at him but quickly turns back to the road in front of her.
"It's more of a gag gift, to be honest. I'll give it to you before the concert tomorrow in Springfield."
"I can't wait to finally see you perform live," Charlotte grinned. "You're going to rock it."
