I Did My Best

I was his sunshine but he was just the rain,
I gave him rainbows but he only caused me pain, 
I tried to move mountains but he only made me fall,
I tried to be a hero but he destroyed me through it all,
He was my light but to him I'm pure darkness,
He was my world but to him I wasn't in his.
