 Tyler’s POV

Tita Mavis called me. Sa di nakakaalam, yan ang pangalan ng mommy ni Maven. Sabi nya, Maven has been locking herself up in her room. I asked tita why pero di nya din alam.

She told me that when Maven came back from school, she was crying.

I immediately changed my clothes and drove fast sa subdivision nila Maven.

Pagkarating ko dun, 10pm na.

Sinalubong ako ni Tita and told me na di pa kumakain si Maven. Umakyat na ako sa itaas and knocked on her door.

“Maven? Maven? I know you’re there, please open up.” I said

Walang sumagot. Nilapit ko ang tenga ko sa door, there was sobbing. Don’t tell me she’s been crying like crazy for hours now?

“Maven, open this door or I’ll break it. Literally.” I hissed angrily

“Go away Tyler. I want to be alone.” She said

Sh*t, sino kasing gago ang nagpapaiyak sa babaeng to eh. Makakatikim talaga ang taong yon.

“Why are you crying?” I asked her, trying to calm my nerves

“None of your business. Umuwi kana.” Sabi nya at may binato sa pinto

“It is my business. Di ka pa kumakain and it’s late at night already. C’mon, at least eat something.” I begged her

She didn’t say anything. I knocked and knocked on her door.

“Maven, open the door. Sige ka, hanggang di mo binubuksan tong pinto, I’ll stay here standing haggang umaga.” Sabi ko sa kanya

I am determined to know who the f*ck made her cry.

And more importantly, I know she needs someone right now.

“Go away Tyler. You’re so annoying. Gusto ko mapag-isa.” She said

“So sorry if I am, but I am not budging hangga’t di ka lumalabas jan. I will continue to annoy you hanggang di mo na kaya.” I said

I heard her sigh. The next thing I knew, she opened the door and went back to her bed. Sumunod ako sa kanya at isinirado ang pinto. I sit beside her at hinaplos ang buhok nya.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her

“Nothing.” Tipid nyang sagot

“You know that you’re not good at lying diba?” I said to her

Hindi sya umimik at nahiga ulit sa kama. I kissed her head at nakaupo lang doon. I know she will realize sooner or later that I am not going to go anywhere until she tells me the truth.

“Tyler?” She called to me a good 1 hour later

“Yes?” I answered

“If you are just playing around with me, wag mo na ituloy.” Bigla nyang sabi

Natigilan naman ako at napakunot ang noo. Are you freaking serious about what you said Maven? I am not playing around with you for Pete’s sake! Kung alam mo lang!

“What do you mean?” I asked her

“You know what I mean. You court me now, and then the next thing I know, andun ka na, making out with some other girl in the bar or having s*x with her.” She said at niyakap ang unan nya
