Today some of my bestest of friends completely forgot about my Bday.
They had known me for years upon years upon years, yet, they forgot. At first I was hurt but, I realized, it didn't matter because it showed me who my true friends were and to not expect things. Yes, it hurt like a mother fucker, but I learned to just enjoy what is given and never take it for granted. Or else, there is no meaning to it, or behind it. Cherish what you have. What others have is nothing compared to yours because it is yours!
