Sherlock POV
I woke up screaming, panting, feeling like my body was burning. I turned to see John looking around wildly, trying to understand the problem. "You okay?" He asked, walking over to me.
I shook my head, wanting to hide. Everything was so wrong. I didn't care about what was going to happen if my dad walked in.
"Sherlock, you'll be okay. It's four in the morning. If I have to, I'll stay with you until your dad comes to get you."
"John, I don't wanna go."
He only held me while I cried. I felt so weak like I was going to break any second. "Please, don't let me go," I muttered, grabbing a fistful of his shirt, crying over everything wrong in my life.
"You'll be okay. I promise."
I don't know when I fell asleep until I woke up to a soft shake of my body. I looked at the one who shook me and smiled once I saw it was John.
"You'll be leaving in a bit. I want you to eat before you go. I'll pack you some clothes."
"John? Why? Why are you doing this for me?"
He took in a shaky breath and looked at me. "No reason. I can't help out a friend?" He replied, walking to my closet.
"There's already clothes in there packed. I did that the other day."
"Oh..."
John POV
I stared at Sherlock, shivering under the covers as he watched my every movement. I smiled softly at him, making my way to his side of the bed.
"I don't want you hurt. Text me if he does something to you. I don't need you out of my life."
He smiled softly, setting the food away to the side. "John?" He whispered. "Could you please tell me why you still want to be my friend?"
"It's a little complicated. Maybe not now. When you get back."
"You always postpone on what I ask you! You always avoid my questions! Please tell me something!"
I looked at his frantic face and almost broke, telling him about seeing that girl and him which made me so upset. I opened my mouth to explain when a knock came to the door. I opened it and looked at Sherlock.
His father was here.
"Let's go!"
Sherlock nodded, grabbing his bag and looking at me to get him out of this mess. I couldn't; I felt horrible. His dad knew I loved Sherlock, and I couldn't risk losing Sherlock's friendship.
"You heard me! Stop staring at your boyfriend, and let's go!"
I don't know what happened to me, but the next thing I saw was the man on his back rubbing at his jaw while my right hand slowly turned an ugly purple colour. Sherlock looked at me curiously before running out of the room down the stairs and away from his usual hiding spot.
I watched as the man stood up and glared at me. "Where'd he go?" He yelled, grabbing my shirt.
"I don't know! Why do you care? You were probably just going to hurt him more!"
"You're just like him: a disappointment. Why won't you type just do us all a problem and die?"
"Easy. We want to prove that we're able to live better than you. We, too, can be happy and not rain on your parade like you do with us."
He grumbled at me and walked out of the room. I thought of Sherlock and hoped he was okay and not found by that bastard. I wouldn't know how to live without him in my life.
A/N: I'm sorry for the short chapter! And also for having not much Johnlock kissing and all, but I do promise that it's coming! Please stay a little longer! Love you guys!
