she hesitantly put a hand on his back, and rubbed it soothingly.
she was never the best at comforting people, not that she ever got the chance to try; she was always the type to ignore or push away people.
yet it hurt her to see him that way, being a mess of hiccups and loud sobs. every time he looked up, she felt her heart sink.
his eyes were red and puffy, his flawless skin was stained by tears, his expression was a mix of fear, sadness and regret, and it pained her so so much to just look at him.
she wanted him to stop crying, he wanted the bright hoseok to come back, but she knew that wasn't possible. not in his state of mind right now.
so she did something she never thought she would ever do.
she bent down just to his eye level, she wiped some of his tears off, and engulfed him in her warm embrace.
he was shocked at first, but he then smiled softly at her actions. wrapping his arms around her waist, he muttered a small 'thank you',
because all hoseok needed then was comfort, and she was the only one who could give him just that.
