She left
With the sea
I came
With the light of day

I made you happy
The brightest
I'd say

And when
you were down
in the bay
I came
to lift you up
with the sun rays

But then
I remembered
The moon
pulls the tides
From the darkest
parts of sea

Causing the waves
to come back
every so often
it seems

I try
to grab a hold
But she has you
so tight

And as the moon
rises up
and the tides
are in full effect
You were gone
before morning

I don't know
what I expected
