Ally's POV.
*ring ring ring*
I groaned in annoyance the phone waking me up. I leaned over Louis' body and answered the phone making sure to whisper so Louis wouldn't wake up.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Ms Summers, Lilly your sister is ready to leave the hospital. I've called her parents and they are on the way to pick her up now. Just called to let you know if you want to see her. Thank you have a good day." The lady at the front desk of the hospital spoke softly through the phone.
I hung up and leapt out of bed. Finally. I pulled on a jumper over the top of my Pajamas and slipped on some Nike shoes. I was wearing black trackies but I didn't care. I was going to see her before her parents took her away. I was so glad that my cast was finally off or this would of been a lot harder.
Louis stirred and turned over and went to wrap his arm where I should of been in bed. I threw my hair up in a messy pony tail as he patted the bed trying to find me. When he didn't his eyes sprung open and he say up only to find me already out of bed.
"Hey what's wrong? Has something happened?" He asked worriedly getting out of bed and slipping a shirt on.
"Lilly is due to leave the hospital, her parents are on there way to pick her up. Luckily we live closer so we might if we hurry make it before them." I grabbed my keys and Louis slipped on some shoes, no socks of course and followed me into the car.
Although we did leave closer I still had to step on it a little bit more than normal. I was thankful that it was early so before the morning rush or the traffic would of been a nightmare.
I drive quickly and thoroughly until I parked right outside of the hospital. I hope we made it in time to see her. I quickly run through the doors, Louis by my side. If anyone saw us they could probably guess that we just got our of bed.
I gave a short smile at the lady at the front not even needing to introduce myself. I looked like a mad woman on a mission. I turned into another white corridor and I can see Lillys room up ahead.
I turn the doorknob and walk in with Louis. Lilly was wearing a yellow shirt with Bart Simpson on it with black denim shorts. She had a black bandana around her hair and she looked pretty good.
I scanned the room and I breath out a sigh of relief knowing we got here in time.
"Ally! Louis! I didn't think you were going to come!!" She squealed and hugged us both. I giggled at her while hugging her back, Louis doing the same.
"Ally, can...can I talk to you please...before my parents arrive...," She rubbed the back of her neck whirl looking down. Louis takes the hint and pretends like he needs to take a phone call and leaves the room. Good boy. Mama raised him right.
I try not to laugh at my thoughts knowing this was going to be a serious talk and we didn't have long before her mum and dad arrived.
I sit down on the hospital bed that she laid in just hours ago. She joined me on the bed and still looked a little anxious. I grabbed her hand and told her to look at me.
"Hey, you can tell me what's on your mind. I'm here to help," I smile kindly and she takes a deep breath, nodding in agreement.
"I don't want to go back home. I love my mum and dad. I do, but, they are never home and it gets lonely and whenever they are home they ignore me or treat me like I'm their pet that they bought not their adopted daughter..." She rushed out her sentences but I heard every word.
"Do you want to live with me? It's about time I get a house anyway. You can stay with me. I'm an adult so you can legally live with me. I'm your real family." I smile hoping she will take my offer.
Her face lights up and she leaps onto me. Her arms wrap around my neck and she embraces me tightly. I hug back just as tight.
"How are we going to do this? Dads funeral is in tomorrow, I don't think a lot of people are going to show. But do you want me to talk to your parents?" I ask which she replies with ask a nervous nod.
"Talk to us about what exactly?" The mother comes through the door wearing her usual outfit, a business suit. Her hair was in a perfect tight bun that would give anyone a headache no matter how tough you were.
Lilly shrinked back and pretended to be doing something on her phone. No one liked awkward conversation. I stand up off the bed and ask her to step outside.
"Ava, I've got the car waiting let's go," The husband said to his wife. So that's the mothers name. Ava. Suits her.
"Hold on Paul, she- wants to talk," She didn't even use my name and just sent a pointy finger with perfectly manicured nails. Soon both of her 'parents' stood in front of me.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush. Lilly doesn't want to go home. She wants to move in with me." I say, although my voice was firm I was feeling a little anxious about the situation.
"Pfft, nonsense. Lilly wouldn't say that. We give her everything she wants. Clothes, jewelry, anything. And she wants to live with...you?" She raised her eyebrows and looked me up and down.
"You never gave her love, that's my job, she's my family, I love her and if she wants to be happy and live with me then you should let her. Don't you want your daughter to be happy?" My voice stayed strong and I was determined to get Lilly out of that house.
