Unnatural

Chapter 4

The airport was packed and the plane ride was sickening. I was just glad to be almost at our new home. About ten minutes later my dad amounted that we were here.

We drives through a small subdivision until we reached a tan house at the end. We pulled into our little blacktop driveway with a palm tree in the front yard. The house was about the same size as our old house, maybe a little bigger.

"Wait till you see the backyard!"

"And your room!" My mom added.

I quickly jumped out of the car and grabbed my backpack that held some of my necessities. The moving truck wouldn't be here till Wednesday. My dad unlocked the door with a key he had received in the mail the other day. I admired the base floor for a minute before tossing my bag down and running to the back door.

My back yard was literally the beach! I couldn't believe my eyes!

"Wow! I love this house already!"

"Why don't you go take a look at your bedroom?" My mom suggested. This was the second time she mentioned it so she must know I will like it.

I ran up the steps and opened the first door I saw. It was a bathroom, but it was bigger than the is at my old house. I walked out and opened the door to my right. This had to be it. The walls were a pretty teal, with a mural of the ocean and sand with little seashells painted on the back wall. Even better yet the room was twice the size of my old one! I had to admit, I did not want to move, but this house was amazing!

"My rooms incredible!" I called down to them.

I wandered around upstairs for a little while longer before heading back down. When I went downstairs we ordered some pizza and blew up the air mattress's again.

"Only two more days of sleeping on these." My dad told us.

Not long after eating we all went to bed. And for the first time in a while I drifted off to sleep with a slight smile on my face. Maybe moving would be so bad after all.
