The end

Lapis and I sit in my dads old pickup truck. It's around 7:40 pm, and the sun is about to dissolve into the calm waves of our pastel city. Beach city is beautiful at night, many illuminated stars are visible in the dark sky, and its warm, but not hot. The grass dancing in breeze is soft as the two girls walk barefoot together on the path to the shore. The muffled smell of salt is overpowered by the fresh air, as their feet pad onto the dry sands. The sand becomes wet, but not muddy as they get closer to the clean waves. No rocks dirty the waters until you get further out, that's why beach city is such a desirable place for tourists. Lapis is wearing a lavender bikini top, and rainbow boxers she stole from peridot. Her mocha colored skin is tanning as it gets closer to summer. Peridot is sporting a one piece swim suit and swim trunks on top. She left her glasses in her duffle bag. Lapis, being an ocean lover, dives into the cool and claiming water, already seeing small fish darting about. Peridot used to despise water. Then, because she is a geek, she played the game abzu, on her Xbox one, and she's cool with it now. She happily dove into the water, salt surprisingly not stinging her eyes, rather, giving her adrenaline. She swims towards a slightly deeper area full of small fish and a few tiny crustaceans. Lapis descended down gracefully next to her, and they looked over a vast place covered in life and color. The slowly turn to each other, and lapis grasps peridots cheek gently, softly placing a kiss onto her lips. Peridot kissed back, and the sun slowly set as the girls held hand and explored the shallow waters.
