The doctors had finally let you go to see Saeran. It had been three days since the surgery. Three days of Seven going back and forth from you to Saeran and back to you. Three days of Seven giving you reports on how Saeran was holding up. Three days of Seven worrying about his brother whilst you tried to comfort him. Three days of helplessness.

You had tried to walk to the critical care unit to see Saeran. Doctors had always ushered you back you your bed, saying that it was in your best interests to rest. After a day of failed attempts of sneaking to where Saeran lay, fighting for his life, you asked the nurse who brought you food if she would take you to see him. She refused, telling you that she didn't have the authority to make that decision. When you asked if she knew someone who did have the authority, she promised that she would ask them about it.

Today, you were told that you could see Saeran. You stood up excitedly, ready to run down the hallways, but the doctors said that you had to use a wheelchair. And they said that someone had to push the wheelchair for you.

"That's ridiculous! I'm not an invalid!" You protested.

"What's going on in here?" Seven poked his head around the curtains. The doctors told him their plans of putting you in a wheelchair and wheeling you to visit Saeran while you sat on the edge of your bed, pouting. You crossed your arms in front of your chest. "I injured my shoulder, not my leg. I don't know about you, but I for one don't walk on my shoulder," You got up and paced next to your bed to demonstrate, "See? I'll be fine."

"Do you really want to see Saeran?" Seven had his back to you so you couldn't see his face, but his voice was solemn and monotone. His head was dipped slightly, letting his hair fall in front of his eyes.

"Of course I do. I want to see for myself if he is okay."

"Saeran is in a worse condition than you are," Seven turned around and you could see that his eyes were red and his skin was flushed, "So swallow your pride. For Saeran." Seeing Seven on the brink of tears always broke your heart, but this time made you feel horrible and guilty. This time, you were being selfish while Saeran was on deaths doorstep and Seven was looking at two people he loved, hurt and injured. You closed the space between you and Seven quickly. You put both arms around him, even though it hurt horribly to move your left arm. "I'm sorry Seven." He put his hand under your chin and pushed your face up so you were looking up at him. He searched your eyes hopefully. "For Saeran?" You nodded. "For Saeran."

Seven pushed you down the hallways, wheeling you past a sign pointing to your right. The black letters said 'CRITICAL CARE' but Seven kept walking.

"Don't we go that way?" You asked, pointing down the corridor. Seven shook his head behind you. "Nope. Saeran was transferred to intensive care last night," He smiled, "He made it through the forty-eight hours."
