I slowly opened my eyes and it was a white. I looked around..
"Joan" Axel saw me first and everyone started to gather around me
"You okay? How do you feel?" My mom asked worry and she held my hand and I smiled to her
"I'm fine mom"
"You're grounded young lady" My dad said seriously and I saw his face has a big dark circle under his eyes. He must be so worry
"I'm sorry" I apologized for making them worry
"How are you feeling now?" Joel asked and his face was not good either. Axel helped me to make my bed straight. I looked down to see my shoulder was wrapped tightly to my body
"I think I'm fine"
"How could you took a bullet like this?" My dad asked disbelief and I turned to him
"I'm sorry dad"
"You should be because I'm doubling my guard for you!" He said and I smiled
"Sorry mom" I turned to her and she nodded weakly. Her eyes were puffy and damn it! I made my mom cry
"Where's Nate?" I asked
"You're not allow to see that bastard!" My dad said coldly and I turned to him
"Dad.. You can't do that. He was the one who save me"
"Save you? He dragged you into this!" Axel said and looked at me disbelief
"Amelio almost killed me with a knife , Nate came in time. He put a gun to his head preventing him to kill me" I said and my dad's eyes widen
Suddenly the doctor came into my room and checked up on me. He said the wound was quite deep so I need an realt intense rest. He said everything is fine beside the wound. It hit my shoulder blade and it cracked. This will be damn hard
"Is everyone okay?" I asked turning my head to my dad
"Some of my man hurted but the kids are fine except you" He sighed
"I'm sorry.. Don't mad at me okay?"
"How can I not mad Joan Cesborn?" He bursted and my mom held him
"Dad she's sick" Joel reminded
"Where's Nate?" I asked looking at them and none of them say anything
"Joel , where's Nate?" I asked and he shot Axel. I raised my eyebrows looking at Axel. He looked at my dad.. I turned my head to my dad
"Dad.. Where's Nate?" I asked and my dad sighed
"He's in the room across here" My eyes widen
"What happen to him?" I asked
"He ran to you when he heard you passed out. He went foward towards Avalton because he was damn angry and shot him 3 times. Not only Avalton who was shot but he's too. He was shot 2 times but he still manage to carry you and make sure you okay before he passed out himself" Axel said , I quickly dragged my legs down
"Where are you going?" My dad asked
"Let her Sebastian" My mom said , Joel helped me get up and he held me
I walked out from my hospital room and walked across the hall to Nate's room. I slowly walked in and saw Nate's still laying on the bed not concious. I felt my eyes went teary , Joel put a chair beside his bed and let me sat there.
There's a 2 big bandage on Nate's body. One on his right chest and one on his upper hip. I held his hand and just hope he's okay. I turned my body to Joel , I asked him to leave me alone.
"You need to rest Joan" My mom entered and I turned to her sadly
"He's not consious yet"
"He passed out after he make sure you're okay so he will need a lot of time to recover" My mom held me and pulled me up. She put her arm around my shoulder and dragged me out from Nate's room.
They forced me to take a rest and they gave me a medicine and sleeping pill so I can have a lot of rest. I closed my eyes and let myself drift to sleep
I opened my eyes slowly and I looked down to see Nate's sleeping. His head leaning to my hand and he held my hand tightly. I smiled to see him already consious and came here to look for me.
I slowly let my hand go from his grip and I stroke his hair. He slowly woke up and he looked at me with his eyes widen
"You okay? How are you feelings?" He asked right away
"You got shot too.. How are you feeling?" I asked and he kissed the back of my hand
"I'm fine. You got shot protecting me. You're so dumb Joan" He said and I smiled
"I can't just stand still there when I knew he's going to shoot you" I said and he sighed
"I was worried"
"I know" I said and I pointed at the button so he can help me straighten up the bed. He held my hand tightly and kept kissing it
"I'm sorry" He said suddenly
"Sorry for what?" I asked
"I can't protect you"
"Hey you already did , don't say that" I said caressing his cheek
"You were shot"
"I'm fine Nate , stop worrying" I said smiling and he still looked so worry
"I don't want you to see my daughter after this" Suddenly my dad walked in and I turned to him
"Dad.. don't be like that. He didn't do anything wrong"
"He dragged you!" My dad said angrily
"I'm sorry sir once again. It's my fault for dragging her with me sir but-"
"I don't want you to see her again after this Nathaniel Bryant" My dad warned again
"Dad!"
"Now get out!" My dad said coldly and Nate looked at me. He gave me a small smile and mouthed 'I'll be back'. He kissed the back of my hand once again and slowly stand up. He held his IV again and walked put from my room
"No more boys from now until you 35" My dad said and I looked at him in horror
