~Grayson's POV~
I tap my foot anxiously against the floor. I bite my nails and stare off into space. I run my hand through my hair, and sigh sitting up straight.

I have to meet Jades family tomorrow, and I kissed another girl! I can't show up. Because, I have to break up with her. She said that she loved me. And I- I don't know, I really like her as well, but I can't do this to her.

I'm gonna make myself crazy trying to keep that from her. She'll find out eventually and I don't even want to imagine the way she'll look at me when she finds out.

But I can't do it before. She'll be so upset. I'll fuck up her whole family dinner. Her brother will hate me. She'll hate me. Her mom will hate me. Her dad might even kill me.

Why is this shit so hard? Whoever invented relationships, clearly didn't have their shit together. This is impossible.

--------------------
Ethan and I get back with the stuff my mom wanted, from the store. I put the key in the lock, and turn the doorknob. Ethan and I walk in to a completely dark house.

"I've seen enough scary movies to not be okay with this." He said and turned the light on. "You're such a-" I was interrupted.

"Surprise." Multiple voices yelled. Ethan and I stood there in shock. Scared, I drop the bag of groceries. "Are you trying to give me a fucking heart attack?" Ethan asked.

My mom walked over and hugged us. "Happy belated birthday." She smiled. "Yeah." I say. "I think I broke a few eggs." I say referring to the bag I dropped.

"I didn't need them, I just needed you out of the house." She spoke. I look around the room and there were some people from school. Family, and my grandparents. Alex, Jake, Aaron, Cameron(both), Jack as well.

But no Emily. Or Jade.
Best friend and girlfriend blew me off.

I continue to examine who was here, hoping to find Jade. Instead I see Ashly, Stephanie -casual hook ups, Jenna, Crystal, and Bekka - (some of)my ex's. All talking to each other. I really don't think that's safe for me. They look over and I wave. They all smile and wave back.

Yup. Definitely not safe.

---
I sit at the table with my grandma. "I mean, yeah I like her. But I don't know if I love her." I stated. "Is there something holding you back from completely committing to Jade? Is it Emily?" She asked hopefully.

"Grandma can you stop with that? I am never going to get with Emily!" I pointed out. "I was just asking." She defended. I sigh. "I don't know. But I can't do that to Jade. She told me she loved me, grandma." I stressed.

"You need to stop and think. Yes, she loves you. But do you love her? You can't force it just to spare her feelings. Because if you don't love her, and you stay with her, you're only allowing her to get more attached to you. And when you finally do break it off, you'll hurt her more. So you need to decide. And don't make the wrong choice either, because no one likes coming second. So if you truly believe that she's not the one for you, then you need to break up with her. Jades a really nice girl Grayson. Don't lead her on, just to break her!" My grandma advised.

I sigh. "Yeah." I agree. "Okay." I say and sit back in my seat. "You're right." I pointed out. She smiled. "I know." She stated. I roll my eyes, and she laughed.

"Who are those girls over there?" My grandma asked referring to the dangerous grouping of my hookups, and ex's.

I shake my head. "If they come over. Tell them nothing!" I ordered, and got up from my seat.

-----------------------
I take a deep breath, and then several more, before I knock on the door. It takes a few moments before the door is swung open, and a smiling Jade stands in the door way.

She wore a red dress, and a jean jacket, with suede black flats. "Uh, hey." I say. "Hey." She stated, and opened the door for me to come in.

I don't know if it was me, and the way I'm acting. But it felt weird between us.

Like we were strangers.

I walk into the house and she shuts the door behind me. Her brother sees me and an evil smirk comes to his face. He gets up from his seat and walks over.

He puts his hand in my back and pushes me through the house. "Look who it is?" He asked. I see jades dad roll his eyes.

Jade comes to my side. "That's my uncles. You know my dad, and mom. That's my aunt sally. And my brother, Christopher." She told me.

Her dad walks into the kitchen with jades mom to go get the food. "Jade go get me something to drink!" Her uncle ordered as he watched the tv. "Yup." She said quietly.

She walked into the dinning room and grabbed some, I think tequila, off the shelf. I raise my eyebrows. She grabbed one of the shit glasses and put it on the table pouring one.

She quickly drunk it. "Life." She groaned. "Yea, that's happening." Her brother told me and pat my back. I chuckle slightly.

"Jade what the hell are you doing?" Her dad asked. "Getting uncle something to drink." She defended. "He asked for a tequila shot, Jade?" Her father questioned. She nods.

"Uncle John didn't you want something to drink?" She asked. "Sure." He responded. "Told you." She sasses.

"John you wanted a tequila shot?" Her dad asked, and turned away from her. Jade took another one. "A shot? No." Her uncle stated looking away from the tv.

Jade shrugged. "He asked for a drink. He wasn't being specific." She said. Her dad shook his head and took the bottle from her.

Her mother brought plates out of the kitchen and was about to set the table. I walk over. "Can I help?" I ask. She smiles and nods.

"Christopher you could learn a few things." His mother glared at him. He rolled his eyes. "I could, but I'm not going to." He stated.

----------------------------
After dinner Jade walked with me to my car. We stood next to my car and she held both my hands, and stared into my eyes.

"Well that was fun." She told me with a smile. "Yeah." I agree. I look down, and squeeze her hands a little tighter, nervous.

"I have to tell you something." We say in unison. "Okay. But I don't wanna do it here." She said. I nod. "Okay." I respond.

"Come on." She ordered, and I follow her down the path.
