Impulse coughed and panted as Inertia loomed over the speedster.
"You sneaky, little brat..."
"I did... Nothing..." Impulse breathed.
Inertia chuckled, "You're a bad liar."
"I'm telling the truth!" Impulse yelled.
"That was a lie again!" Inertia shouted in Impulse's face and kicked his stomach again, sending Impulse into the wall and onto the cobblestone floor.
"You're... The liar..." Impulse struggled.
"Oh, me?" Inertia laughed, "and how is that?"
Impulse turned to where Cobalt Blue and Reverse Flash stood, "don't trust him! He's--"
Inertia grabbed the front of Impulse's uniform tightly and held him against the wall, "now you listen up, you traitor..."
"Me?" Impulse's voice was hoarse, "traitor? You're such a hypocrite..."
Inertia gritted his teeth, then threw Impulse against the wall, "shut up! You're lucky I'm not going to kill you..."
Impulse spit out his blood to the side, glaring daggers at Inertia, "like I care..."
"Oh? But I do." Inertia shrugged, "but let me warn you, Kid. Don't ever think of going rogue twice. Know why? Go rogue once, you've got room for error. But go rogue twice, there's no going back and no one to even go back to."
Impulse watched as Inertia left, cackling to himself, then turned to Cobalt Blue and Reverse Flash, "keep a close eye on him. Close."
Impulse glared at the back of his blonde head, ready to make his life a living nightmare.

"This is totally messed up... Who uses their own henchmen only to take their speed in the end?" Tim scoffed.
"Welcome to reality, Drake..." Damian rolled his eyes.
"Shut up..." Tim murmured as he continued to scroll through the flash drive's contents on his mini holocomputer, "hey, Jaime, where'd you say you found this, again?"
"Uh, I picked it off of Impulse at a fight." Jaime glanced away.
"Oh, this file's blocked... Hm..." Tim rubbed his chin as he studied the encryption then typed in numerous codes until the computer dinged, "there."
Jaime jumped, then peeked closer from over Damian's shoulder, "what's on it?"
"They're... Pictures."
Damian peered closer, "huh. You're right."
"What?!"
The three looked closer at the document, and sure enough, there were various pictures in the file.
Pictures of Reverse Flash and Cobalt Blue, then Jay Garrick and his career as the first Flash. The following pictures made all three of them go pale.
"No way..."
They were pictures of Barry, Barry as the Flash, Wally, Wally as Kid Flash, Dan, and Dawn, "why the heck does he need these?"
"They're all speedsters..." Jaime murmured, then froze, his blood getting as cold as ice, "no..."
"What?"
"Inertia's after the Speed Force of all these guys. He's going to take the Speed Force, and... Kill them."
"Wait." Damian pointed at the screen, "another file."
"This... File..." Tim's voice trailed off, "this is..."
"What is it this time? It can't be worse." Jaime spoke too soon. As soon as they saw the collection of pictures, Jaime's voice got caught in his throat. He couldn't make himself talk. He whispered hoarsely, "Impulse... We need to go warn Bart. Now!"

Next time on Episode/Chapter 12 - Past:
I was bullied a lot as a kid? Ha! Don't be silly! I was the bully! Then that kid over there, Bart? Bart Allen? Heh! He's such a loser. He grew up with nothing! His power is inherited, mine was earned with pure work! I worked for my powers! He just has to sit back and act all pretty... That idiot.
But I knew it. There was always more to Thad's past. It was all just a dream one day, but turned out to be real. This is Inertia's story, as well as my own.
