"My daughter was kidnapped, and you're not going to do anything about it, Detective?"
"Commissioner Gordon, you know as well as I do that we can't make a single move without any leads. From the evidence we have here, there's no way we can decipher who did this." The detective looked around Barbara's apartment, "everything is normal, it's almost as if nothing happened."
"That's not true."
Commissioner Gordon and the detective turned around, "Ah, Grayson, my boy!"
"Commissioner." Dick nodded in greeting, "well, I found a smear of blood over there, which is weird because that's not where we found this gun..." He pulled out two bags, one held a gun the other held a swab of blood samples, "the strange thing is that we found these two pieces of evidence in two completely different rooms. I know Babs hides the gun in the couch cushion in the living room, but the blood was in the kitchen on the other side of the apartment.
"Detective, I swear, if that's my daughter's blood..."
"It's not. I've already analyzed it." Dick pulled out a device he'd stuck a small test tube into, "I know whose it is."
"Who?"
"It's someone on my team, I should've known..." Dick looked away, "I can take this back to the cave and we'll handle him. He's our own, anyways."
"Dick, this is my daughter we're talking about. I know you love her and all, but that doesn't mean--"
"Commissioner, please." Dick cut him off, "this is a guy you won't be able to handle. Trust me, save more lives and leave this to me. I know what we're dealing with."
"Just tell me who the guy is."
"It's Impulse, Bart Allen. He was here."

"We should've known he couldn't be trusted..."
"I'm sure it's not the real Bart! He would never do that! He's being controlled by Inertia, I swear..." Wally muttered as he tapped his toe rapidly, then turned to Alex, who stood against the wall, not too far from where he was sitting on the couch in the living room, "Bart's innocent."
"Hn. Say what you want. I'm still having a hard time trusting him if the blood sample was Bart's. And that was all the evidence." Alex explained, "so Nightwing suspected if it's him they want, he'll find them in Blüdhaven. And if he finds Impulse, he finds Inertia."
"That sounds accurate." Wally sighed, "I can't just sit here and do nothing. Arty's actually out seeing what she can do about the situation. But I'm speedless."
"Well..." Alex shut his eyes, "do you think just because you don't have your ability, you can't do anything to help? That's pathetic."
He's right... Wally turned away. Am I really that weak? I lost my speed to him after all.
"You're coordinating, aren't you?"
Wally nodded, "yeah. But he hasn't gotten to Blüdhaven yet."
"Well when he does, you'll take them helm. Got it?"
"Heh, never thought I'd be taking orders from a fourteen-year-old."
"Well." Alex shrugged, "maybe not for long."

"I want my police force on this case." The female Bludhaven police officer ordered her team as she flipped through a folder of files.
"Officer Amy Rohrbach."
The woman turned around then sighed, "can I help you, Mr. Grayson?"
"What did I tell you? It's Agent 37. I don't want my cover blown."
Amy rolled her eyes, "Dick, everyone recognizes your face."
"No. I'm here because I need to take on someone that doesn't."
She turned around and started walking away from him, "well, you clearly came to the wrong place. You're a former police force member, what are you doing here?"
"I just need to borrow a team."
"What's wrong with yours?"
"Too obvious."
"Well..." Amy crossed her arms, "we're a bit shorthanded lately, you can't just come waltzing in like you own the place and take whatever team looks good to you."
"You're right. I guess I can't." Agent 37 shrugged and slipped his hands into his pockets, "but you see, my team is probably twice as strong as all of yours combined. Heck, maybe ten times.i can easily send a team in to fill in for every police force in Bludhaven. Of course, we wouldn't want that to happen."
"Uh..."
"Listen, there's a threat in Bludhaven that, even under your strong command, your team couldn't stand against."
"What are we dealing with?"
"A Meta." He shook his head, "you send a team in there, they're dead right away. But I want to make this look legit and make it seem as if I'm not affiliated at all with the Justice League. So let me take a team out there just as a decoy. I can take care of the rest. Trust me."
Amy pursed her lips and sighed, "whatever. You can take the Beta squad. But no need to pay us back. You could be doing us a favor, I guess."
"Thanks." He smiled and nodded. Amy turned to call in a team as he pulled out his phone and speed-dialed Wally's number, "okay, Wally. I'm putting you onto the link, then you can coordinate from there."
"Copy that, Dickie-Bird."
"Wallman, it's Agent 37 now. Don't blow my cover." Then he hung up and stuck the communicator in his ear, "can you hear me?"
"Loud and clear, Agent 37." Wally sarcastically emphasized.
"Don't mock me." Agent 37 chuckled, "okay. I'm taking a Bludhaven police force team to find Inertia. Turns out they'd already tracked some irregular energy surges in a downtown parking garage."
"You know it's--"
"Impulse? Yep."
"Impulse? What makes you think it's Bart?"
"I know it's either Impulse or Inertia. Either one is bound to get us what we need."
"Uhm, what do we need, exactly?"
"To get Impulse back and take Inertia down." Agent 37 spotted his team of about eight coming towards him behind Amy, "okay, I'm heading out now. I'll contact you when I get there."
"Good deal."
