Stef and Lena were joined by Adam and Connor in the hospital waiting room. They've been waiting for roughly two hours for Jude to get out of surgery. The three adults sat towards the front while Connor forced himself to sit alone in the back. He looked dazed and tired, but managed to stay fully awake as he waited.
Do you mind if we ask you a few questions?" Doctor Johnson asked as she approached Stef. Stef turned back to Connor who was clearly mentally beating himself up.
"Actually, would it be ok if he answered the questions?" Stef pointed towards Connor. She needed an excuse to help him escape his mind. "My wife and I need to go check on our other daughter."
"I'm only allowed to ask the parents."
"Please, he'll be able to answer the question to, probably better than us."
"I suppose I can let it slide this time." Johnson nodded.
"Connor." Stef called. He ran to her side hoping to hear more information about his Judicorn. His feet came to a screeching stop.
"Yea?" He cheerfully asked.
"I need you to go with Doctor Johnson and answer her questions." He made a blank face then nodded.
"Ok follow me." Doctor Johnson led them an empty room. The room was lit by a dim light hanging from the ceiling. The doctor gestured towards the chair across the table for Connor to sit on.
"Let's start with some simple questions. How old is Jude?" Johnson reached for a pen from inside the desk.
"eighteen." Connor responded slumping in the chair.
"Date of birth?"
"September 30, 1998."
"How tall is Jude?"
"5'8."
"Really? How tall are you?"
"6'2" why?"
"Because I've seen many gay couples come in here and they're usually the same height."
"It's not like we're all the same." Connor said offended.
"I know. Just the height difference is usually in close proximity-"
"Can we just get back to the questions?" He cut her off.
"Sure," Doctor Johnson looked down at her notes and questions. How much does he weigh?" .
"135." Connor tiredly spoke.
"Does he have any allergies?"
"Only cinnamon, but when he was little he was allergic to cats."
"How many times has fingers been ruptured?"
"I'm pretty sure this is his fourth time." Connor answered.
"Any surgeries on them?" Johnson asked while writing information on her notepad.
"Only one. It was so he could get the bones aligned."
"Wow. You know more than most parents. They usually can't even remember their kids name." Doctor Johnson acknowledge him.
"It would be kinda weird if I knew him for seven years and never learned a single thing about him."
"That's true. Well you can go back to the waiting room." She waved him off. He pushed himself off the chair and returned to his family.

Connor checked his phone. It was roughly thirty minutes after one in the morning. He laid his head back against the wall and let his eyes start to close. A sort of tall figure walking out of the elevator caused him to reopen his eyes.
