Jude tossed on his phone on the bed. He reached for his shoes, putting them on one by one.

"Where you going?" Connor asked sitting himself up right on the mattress.

"Callie's awake." Jude spoke quick and short. "And she told my moms she wants to see me." He continued to struggle with putting on his shoe.

"I know you're in a rush, but don't you think you should put on some pants." Connor interrogated while Jude still struggled to put on his shoes.

"Right." He hopped off the bed and went into his closet. About two minutes later, he came back out and returned to putting on his shoes. "Are you coming?"

"Do I have to?" Connor pretended to whine while dramatically falling backwards on the bed. He held a pillow over his face.

"No." Jude said. Connor took the pillow off his face and let confusion rise over his body. He propped himself up with his arms.

"No? That's it, you're not gonna try and force me to go?"

"Callie's my sister. So anything that happens to her is something I have to deal with. I'm not going to make you do something that you don't care or want to do." Jude finished tying his shoes. He checked the time on his phone before returning his gaze to Connor. "I'll go. You stay here and sleep, or you can go home. Just lock the door if you leave."

Jude was starting to walk away when Connor grabbed his hand to stop him. "I'm coming with you."

"You don't-"

"But I want to." Connor went to grab his hoodie from the desk across the room. Once he held the jacket, he moved back to Jude's location. "And for the record, anything that involves you I care about."

Jude had a great big toothy smile plastered across his face from ear to ear. "Come on."

"Are we ever gonna go inside?" Connor questions. He sat in the passenger seat watching Jude sit motionless while the moon brightened the left side of his face.

"I don't think I can do this." Jude finally took the keys out the ignition, then placed them on the dashboard. They've been sitting idle in the car for about five minutes.

"Do what?"

"Go in there and talk to her. I mean what if I make her have another seizure? I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

"Hey." Connor pushed the button to turn on the light next to the visor. He reached down to grab Jude's hand. "None of that is gonna happen and if it does, it's not your fault. You can't control what happens, but I know how much this is bothering you. Which is why I'm gonna be right by your side the whole time. I know I wasn't there for you when this first started, hell I was barely there for you over the past few months, but if you need me, I'm here for you."

"Okay." Jude squeezed his hand before letting go to get out the car. He joined Connor on the other side, who wrapped his arm around Jude's shoulders. They started walking towards the hospital entrance.

"You're the bravest person I've ever met." Connor stated.

"Only when I'm with you." Jude replied pushing the elevator button with an arrow pointing up.
