It was a normal day for me. I was getting ready to go to a the Oilers when my phone buzzed. It was an unknown number. I had been added to a random group chat.

Omg I'm so confused. I finish my hair then I put on my McDavid jersey. Then slid on my Converse hytops. I get in my car and drive to Rogers. As I'm driving my phone goes off. I stop at the red light and pick it up.

I read it then drive again because the light turned green. I pull into the parking lot after paying then I go in once doors are open. While I'm waiting in line, my phone buzzes again.

Jordyn: 19 born in 1997. Turning 20 on July 13th.
Connor: Where are you from?
Jordyn: Chicago but I've lived in Edmonton since I was 10.

I get my ticket scanned and walk to find my seat which is near the glass. My dad had moved back to Chicago when I graduated high school to go work for the Blackhawks. He makes a lot so he bought me season tickets for the Oilers. I usually bring someone with me but I wanted to go alone today. My phone buzzes again.

Connor: Stop doing that!
Jordyn: Doing what connor?
Connor: ignoring me 😑
Jordyn: sorry I was getting my ticket scanned for the Oilers game tonight.
Connor: Oilers? You like the Oilers?
Jordyn: Hell yeah they're my favorite.
Connor: Who's your favorite player?
Jordyn: McJesus 😍😍
Connor: He's pretty chill. I'll text you later I have to go to work 😊

The game went by so quickly. McDavid scored 2 goals. Good for babe 😍.

I grab my phone and text Connor, the Connor I've been texting. He will get my text after work.

I walk out to my car and get in. I'm jamming out to Shawn Mendes when my phone buzzes. I pull into my apartment complex parking garage. I get out of my car and I grab my phone to see Connor texted me.
Connor: I saw! I work at the Rogers in the concession stand.
Jordyn: Nice! Have you met McDavid?
Connor: No but I bet he's pretty awesome. But what do you look like?
