"A Demon Hound." I announce. "It's similar to the concept of a werewolf, save for the fact that they act more like a dog when tame." I elaborate, crossing my legs as I sit across from Ciel in his room.

"There is an actual Demon Hound?" Ciel questions, his voice telling me he doesn't believe me. "Unless you can think of another dog-like beast that's six times the size of a regular man, breathes fire, and has glowing red eyes." I venture, daring Ciel to challenge me. "The body wasn't charred." Ciel accepts the dare, to which I smirk. "When the creature growled, the room drastically increased in temperature, not to mention the spark that it drew from its mouth." I point out, shifting my legs to cross the opposite way. Ciel sighs, "It seems we'll be staying a while longer, then."

Oblivious, blind, idiotic, useless, moronic child!

Morning mulls about, myself having barely gotten any sleep. The servants and I sit in the small common room, save for Angela and Finny who stand. I mostly tune them out but I'm snapped to reality when I hear Finny cry out. He storms out, running. I hear distant trees slamming to the ground and my eyes go wide. "Finny?" I question quietly. "He sure doesn't seem sick." Baldroy comments. "He did say he was sick, he did." Mey-Rin mutters, her tone less sure of herself.

She knows something I don't.

I hear Mey-Rin shift. "I-I'll get Finny, I will!" Mey-Rin offers, her footsteps running out. "There are medicinal herbs growing out by the fen, I want to go pick some to help make Finny feel better." Angela suddenly cuts in, making me scowl. "Feel free." I grumble. Softer footsteps follow a few moments later. I rub the bridge of my nose, hearing Baldroy say something about breakfast before walking off. My knuckles burn with the urge to punch something. I settle for letting my face fall against the table with a loud 'thump'.

What did I miss? What the hell did I miss?

I begin shuffling through Lord Barrymore's memories within my own. My eyes widen and I sit up harshly.

When he first discovered it. A corpse he didn't produce, paw prints far too large for a regular dog. That's when he began warping the story.

"Insolent brat! How did I not see it?!" I bark, smashing a balled fist against my forehead. "It was obvious, yet you passed over it instead looking for anything incriminating instead." I growl at myself. I smack my hand against the table, leaving it limp to cause pain. I don't even flinch or wince as the pain feels dull. I scowl, standing and guiding myself back to my room.

Before I can enter, I hear eight feet pounding down the hall. "What-" I'm cut off by two arms linking my own and dragging me along. I begin kicking, and I'd fight harder if I didn't recognize the feeling of the fabric Mey-Rin wears. "We're hunting for a demon hound!" Baldroy shouts enthusiastically. My eyes widen and my teeth clench, "Are you all morons?!" I bark in response. "We're not leaving Angela-San alone out there!" Finny shouts in protest. Soon enough, the servants set me down on unfamiliar ground, my feet not bearing shoes as I hadn't assumed I would be leaving the 'Castle' anytime soon.

The ground below my feet feels loose and dead. Chills crawl up my spine and my frustration sets hard onto my face. Mey-Rin shrieks and I slowly pat out with my feet, my cane having been left behind as I dropped it when the idiots stole me away.

Mey-Rin's hand shake as I hold it. "Another thrilling scene in the morning, yes!" Mey-Rin suddenly cheers. I ignore her other memories, working to look at the limb-filled field instead. Then I see it, Lord Barrymore's missing arm. My mouth slips open slightly until I'm yanked behind a rock, looking through one of Mey-Rin's eyes to see a naked man. He fiddles with Lord Barrymore's arm, and I then realize what he is.
