"So why didn't Maryse and Robert just get a divorce?" Magnus asks.
"In idris." Alec answers. "Marriage is taken very seriously so divorce is very rare but in the royal family it does not happen."
"What would've happened if Maryse and Robert would've divorced?" Simon asks.
"They would've lost their titles and been exiled from the country." Jerome answers. "Their lovers would've been imprisoned and punished."
"Does he still work here at the place?" Izzy asks.
"Yes. After alec was born, Robert decided that he needed to restaff security, that's when he brought hodge in. Maryse didn't trust him so she asked her lover to watch their child. Of course he said yes and he remained in that position with all the children and he will continue to protect his children and grandchildren and serve the royal family until he is no longer able."
Alec looks up at jerome and says, "you are our father, aren't you?"
"Yes, your majesty."
"You don't have to call me that, you are my father."
"You are still my king and this conversation can go no further than this room, I can still be punished for loving Maryse."
"Of course it will go no further." Jace says as they all group hug jerome.
