I groaned as my alarm clock went off, the sound filling the whole room. I rolled to my tummy and turned it off by grabbing it and tossing it to the wall. Thankfully it broke, saving me from the whole mess of adjusting the whole thing all over again.
My lashes were heavy as I rested on my elbows. A sudden breeze touched my half naked upper body and I flinched; why was it so cold in here? Did I forget the bathroom window open all night? Hell!
I jumped up and ran into the bathroom, checking the place. As I expected, I forgot the window open literally all night. I’m glad it’s a small one and no one would be able to actually climb in here and kill me.
Why would someone possibly want to climb five floors for just a thousand or two?, I thought as I walked into my closet, ready to pick today’s outfit.
I walked to where all my clothes were hanging. I picked a loose beige shirt with rolled-up sleeves and a pair of black tight jeans. I put them on and realised two things: first, the jeans were too tight, it made my thigh gap pop and second, the shirt was so sheer that my black bra was pointing out. I shrugged to myself and slipped into a pair of black leather oxfords I found on the drawers. I matched my outfit with a brown leather Kem handbag and natural colours on my make-up.
With one last glance to my outfit, I walked out of the bathroom and casted an eye on my phone screen, to see what time it is. When I realised what was going on, I ran outside my room in hysteria. I wasn’t gonna make it, it was late! We all know how crowded New York streets were every morning. Dang, why did I have to wake up so late!
I managed to run to my car in less than three minutes and switched on the engine with quick moves. I drove off and found my way to the school building easily. In fact, I discovered a few shortcuts which led me to it in about ten minutes. I found a spot on the parking lot and left the car swiftly.
When I walked into the school, it was about ten minutes before the bell rang. I literally ran to my locker to leave my books and things and pick up the correct ones. Five minutes remained till school started and I decided to spend them to fix my make-up and hair.
My hairstyle was totally ruined due to the stress and craziness that took place in both my car and house. I wasn’t the queen of punctuality and I don’t think I was gonna be now. I’m always late for dates and I know it’s not good at all, but that’s me. I remember once Chace wanted to take me somewhere and I actually showed up about an hour later. He cussed me out about it but hey, nobody’s perfect, am I right?
I heard the bell and that’s when I got going. I squeezed in between people and found my way to the first class I had, World History. It was a white class filled with random posters and other stuff that kept me interested for approximately ten seconds, till the teacher walked in to be more specific.
“Good morning children” a woman around forty with dark brown hair mumbled, placing a few books on the desk in front of us. “My name is Mrs. Denise and I’m your World History teacher from now on, as you may have noticed”.
I rolled my eyes to the lame joke but didn’t boo her on anything like that. No; it was the back row’s job to do that. And, indeed, I heard fake laughs and shit like that coming from behind and we all turned and looked at them. They were just laughing, like no one else existed and our curious eyes didn’t stare at them stubbornly. I almost choked when I saw Harry sitting there too but I didn’t let it show. I just acted like everything was ok and I didn’t notice him standing there, and casually turned around.
