Me.
Morrigan Drew.
Human.
Female.
Five foot, six inches tall.
Long black hair,
cold black eyes.
Really gay.

Her.
Quinn Hights.
Human.
Female.
Five foot, three (and a half) inches tall.
Shoulder-length blue hair,
warm hazel eyes.
Has a boyfriend.

Straight, too straight.

"Oh." Quinn pressed her palms over her eyes.

I stop in the middle of the sidewalk. "What's up?" I asked. I knew that she was naturely a very quiet person, and if she spoke up, it had to be important.

You only know this because the last time she suddenly remembered something, it was to awkwardly announce that  you left your bra at her house.
Yes, Morri. It's still mortifying.
You and your small brallettes.

"I almost forgot about someone  I have to meet later," she said, groaning.

"Who, your boyfriend?" I flash the most annoying grin I can muster.

Something about her right then just twitched into place.

"Yes, actually."

She smiles.
I smile back. It hurts, but I still do.

She lightly tugged on the sleeve of my jacket. "Hey, we can walk to that new ice cream parlor tomorrow. It will be our last treat before summer ends, and..." Her eyes grow even more radiant.

"We'll start eleventh together!"

She smiles.
I smile back. It doesn't hurt that badly.

"Sure, Hights. But I heard the ice cream there sucks."
