Everyone was too happy.

Well, they weren't sad. I don't know why that bothered me.

They were too happy, even though it was no secret that the school year would leave them helpless and exhausted. They knew.

I didn't say this to Quinn, mostly because I never got to see her all day.
All year.

Westmore...
it's a large school filled with overly happy kids.

The school year was the part when I was the loneliest. Quinn and I had made the unspoken agreement to avoid interaction during the year. It doesn't make much sense-but our friendship seemed saved for the summer.

We rarely even texted,
our last conversation being:

Quinn:
I want to go to Korea with you some day.

Morrigan:
North or South?

Quinn:
You make me question my sanity

Morrigan:
I was only half joking, you know.

Morrigan:
It sounds like such a you thing to do..lollolol

Quinn:
Hippie

Morrigan:
Minimalist.

That afternoon, I typed several characters into a new message.

Morrigan:
Everyone is too happy.

Quinn:
Well, they aren't sad.

Quinn:
Morri, I miss you.

Morrigan:
Minimalist.

Quinn:
Shut up

Quinn:
Do your homework.
