Though I'm not Latino,  I grew up in a bilingual elementary school, and was very comfortable speaking Spanish, the culture, and having Latino friends.  So I made a story of Marta snd her pet scorpion (who is harmless).

Disclaimer: Don't cuddle scorpions unless you're certified.

(Should've mentioned that years ago)

Even without dialogue, it was a big effort, and I couldn't have done it without support.  It only exists on a few videotapes spread around during that time.

At Wild Brain Inc. (San Francisco), in 2000, I was very blessed to be picked as director on two animated shorts for Cartoon Network.com.  One of which was a new Perfect Pet.  This one had voices recorded, a generous budget and even more support.  Buttercup of the Powerpuff Girls even was featured with a comment about my characters.

In 2005(?) I pitched a storyboard for a new Perfect Pet film (and possible series) to Nickelodeon's Frederator division.  After a series of seven(!) pitches (I had to take the bus to and from) over a number of months, they passed on it.  I was pretty bitter.

But in 2007, I took the drawings I thought to be useless and made them into a comic, which I posted on Webcomics Nation

Recently I found the art on a disk though! Thanks to a suggestion by JakofSomeTrades

And I made up a cover and decided to post here.  Maybe I'll publish this someday.

If you know of ways to do so, please contact me.  Now, on to the art and story!
