Chapter Nine
Hinata reached home first and when she turned her key in the lock, she was shocked to find that the front gate and door wasn't locked.
A feeling of dread washed over her as she pushed opened the door and walked briskly into her house.
Hinata gave a soft gasp as she covered her mouth. Her whole house was ransacked. From top to bottom...
She quickly walked back to the gate and door, locking them before putting down her bag onto the dining table.
Hinata decided she would call Naruto later on. She immediately got to work to looking through everything that might be missing...
"My jewelleries are here... Naruto's and my watches are here... Our cash savings are intact..." Hinata muttered to herself as she searched through her house, putting her's and Naruto's items in their rightful place in the process...
"Oh my god what was this robber looking for?!?" Hinata grunted mentally as she saw the study desk that she and Naruto shared was the last thing she hasn't cleaned up.
Hinata frowned and went over to the desk, filing back the papers. It only has three drawers, first drawer containing important documents such as identification and marriage documents and also the house deed of Naruto's and Hinata's.
Second drawer contains Naruto's and Hinata's assignment papers..
"What on earth was this robber thinking? Didn't steal anything and gave me more work to do to clean up the mess!!!" Hinata grumbled as she finally got to the last drawer, which were piano sheets belonging to her and Naruto...
Hinata sighed and placed everything back. She was about to close the third drawer when she frowned and took out all the scores from the last drawer again.
Hinata looked through all the piano sheets for three times straight and realisation dawned on her...
"Where is the score I played for Naruto kun for his birthday last year? The one without a title???" Hinata asked aloud as she thumbed through the papers again.
"Why in the world would the robber go through all the trouble to only steal that particular item???"
Just then Hinata heard her phone ringing from inside her bag which was on the dining table. She bit her lip and contemplated whether or not to tell Naruto about what happened and decided, she will tell him when he reached home. She didn't want to disturb him since he's on his last hurdle for the final year project of his university assignment...
Hinata walked over to the dining table and took out her phone from the bag. She saw her husband's name flashed on her phone and she slid it to the green button to answer...
"Hey Naruto kun..."
"Hey princess. I might have to stay late at the university for final editing of my group assignment today so I won't be home till midnight."
Hinata bit her lip harder.
"It's fine Hinata. He'll come home and you can tell him about it. Don't rush him, it's his last hurdle already..." inner Hinata gave her a pep talk.
"Oh... I was looking forward to watching Netflix and chill with you..."
Naruto's voice at the other end smirked at his wife.
"Princess, you know we don't just Netflix and chill..."
Hinata's cheeks blushed slightly as she gave a slight laugh.
"Okay then just message me when you're on the way home okay?"
"Yea will do. Take care Hinata chan. And remember to lock the windows and the doors kay'? Love you princess."
"Hmm yea. Love you too Naruto kun." Hinata answered gently with a smile as she hung up the phone.
