CUTTING OUT PNGS

Requested by winterinheaven - I hope that this makes sense and that it helps xD



STEPS
1. Open up the image you would like to cut out. It should preferably be a good quality image, since this will make it much easier to cut out.

2. Click on the quick selection tool

3. Use the selection tool to select your model, like so:

4. Now we have to create a layer mask. In the very bottom right of the program, there are seven buttons. Click on the third one from the left. You will be left with something that looks like this:

5. Now go the black and white layer mask that has appeared next to your original model layer. Right click, and select refine mask.

6. Something like this will pop up:

Now use the brush (circle with the cross in it) to go around your model, specifically around where the hair is

Now use the brush (circle with the cross in it) to go around your model, specifically around where the hair is. I find that it is easier to do this if you change the view mode to on black.

7. After you've done this, to make the edges more smooth, change the smoothness option to somewhere between 2 and 10.

8. Click ok and you're done! (This is such a bad example but oh well xD)
