I heard your laugh
and it planted a warm feeling in my stomach
it has been so long since I've heard it
I missed it so
I swore
that I could feel seeds of adoration sprouting
deep in my bones
I could feel the stalks
creeping up
the vines wrapping round my bones
the buds crowding in my lungs
the leaves encasing my heart
the flowers exploding in my throat
I was at a loss for words
I couldn't breathe
My stomach had a funny feeling
my heart was thumping wildly
oh curse
are seeds of adoration
turning in
to flowers of love
