"Where are we going?" I asked for the umpteenth time. "Do you know how to shut up? If so, please do." Sasuke replied. "Why you—" I said. Sasuke grunted. "I thought you were smart." Sasuke said as he focused on the road. We were somewhere else in the town. It wasn't anything I've ever seen before; bright neon lights, honking cars, and loud chatter. "Yes I am." I said, irritated. "Then use that brain of yours and work out how to shut up." He says."You are so not romantic."
"Hn. Wasn't trying to."
".....so where are we going?"
"God, we're here already okay?"
I looked out the window and we stopped by some sort of building. A beautifully lit bakery. One filled with pastry and cakes I've never seen before.
Oh dear lord I have died and landed in heaven.....I've been sent to cake world! I have never been so happy to die!
"Haruno? Hello?" Sasuke asked. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Sasuke as if he had just saved the world and cured cancer. "You. Are. A. God." I said. Sasuke looked shocked and a little frightened. "....I'm not..." He says hesitantly. "No you are...You got me to the most famous bakery ever! I friken love you Sasuke Uchiha!" I said and hugged him. Of course I was driven by my desire to eat cake and didn't know what I was doing. "Hn. Whatever let's just go." He says as we enter the bakery. I think his face was a little red.
We were seated and looked at the menu. My eyes lit up as excitement flowed inside of me. "Hn. What do you want?" Sasuke asked. "Cake." I answered. "....which one?" He asked as if I was stupid, which I was sure I was. "Oh, Uhm, cheesecake." "Hn. Waiter, I'll have 1 cheesecake and 2 glasses of water. Do you have tomatoes too?" He asked. The waiter looked at him as if he was crazy. "I-I'll see what we have." The girl said and walked away, no one could resist Sasuke's beautiful face.
Hold up. Did I just friken think that? Dear lord cheesecake!
"Sir m-ma'am here is your order." Th girl from earlier said. She placed down two tomatoes and walked away with a flushed face. Sasuke grabbed one of the tomatoes and started to eat. "Is that all you ever eat?" I asked. "What about you? Is cake all you ever eat? I'm surprised you're not fat yet." He replied. "Hmhp, whatever. Where else are we going?" I asked. Sasuke smirked for the first time during our "date". "Secret." He said. "Mou, that's no fun!" I whined. "Tell me!" He motioned me to come closer, so closer I went. He then poked my forehead really hard.
That sneaky little bastard!!!
"Ow..." I said as I rubbed my forehead. Sasuke had this small sad smile on. "Hn. You'll find out later."
—Time skip—
"Mou, can i take it off now?" I asked. It had been a while since we've left the bakery, much to my disappointment. After we did, Sasuke blindfolded me and proceeded to drive. It had been 10 minutes before I heard the engine turn off and now he was leading me somewhere. "Hn. We're almost there." He said with no emotion. "You said that for the past 2 minutes!" I hissed. "Hn." "Sasuke, Uchiha I demand you take off this blindfold!" I ordered. Surprisingly he did.
I looked around. We were on a cliff, which was by the ocean. The sun was sinking below the horizon, painting the sky a beautiful shade of oranges, pinks, yellows, and reds. "This is....." I whispered. Sasuke sat down and patted the spot right beside him. "Where exactly are we...?" I asked. Sasuke sighed. "You ask too many questions." "Just answer!" "We're outside of town. This is the place my....mother would take me. It always had the perfect view of the sunset and sunrise." He said. I stared back at the blazing sky and said, "...It's beautiful." "Not as much as you." Sasuke said as he gazed at my direction. We both stared, somehow getting lost in one another's eyes. I didn't know what was happening but the gap between us was.....shrinking.
We were millimetres away.
Until Sasuke stopped.
He backed away slowly and shifted off to the side. Whatever was between us before had suddenly disappeared.
"We should head back. I promised your mother I'd bring you back soon." He said and stood up. He held out his hand and I gradually took it. On our way back to his car neither of us let go. It was as if we wanted to be close, but at the same time we didn't. Sasuke tightened his grip on my hand as we neared his car.
It was as if he didn't want to let go.
And it was as if I didn't want to either.
