((Y/n)'s POV)
I stood in my place. Not a single word came out of me. I didn't even know what to say, I just revealed myself to him. Elizabeth and Hawk ran to Meliodas.
"Sir Meliodas-" Elizabeth stopped when she saw me
"I'll ask you again, who are you?" Meliodas repeated
The only thing that escaped my lips was a soft breath.
"BACK OFF!!" Arthur yelled from beside me
Arthur jumped from my shoulder, claws unsheathed, and onto Meliodas' face. Elizabeth, Hawk and I gasped. Arthur scratched like there was no tomorrow.
"Hey! What's your deal?!" Hawk spat at Arthur
Arthur put his mauling to a pause and glared at Hawk before growling,
"Oh, you want some too, porky!?"
I separated my cat companion from Meliodas' face.
"Arthur, stop!" I told him
Hawk and Elizabeth stared at Meliodas' face in shock at the damage Arthur had left. I felt kind of embarrassed. This wasn't exactly a good first impression.
"I'm so sorry!" I apologized quickly. "He was just trying to protect me!"
Their facial expressions did not change. I could tell they were still skeptical. After letting out a soft sigh I introduced myself and Arthur.
"I'm (Y/n). This little devil is Arthur."
"What are ya? Some kind of fairy?"
Hawk was the first to gather the courage to say something.
"I'm not sure." I replied while laying back in the air and putting Arthur on my stomach. "I was told I was the eighth deadly sin."
"Eighth sin?" they all said in perfect unison
Meliodas was the first to snap out of his dumbfounded trance.
"Then where's your mark!?" he interrogated
I lifted up my sleeve so I can show him that I was indeed one of them. Meliodas marveled over it.
"A question mark.."
"You really are a sin." Elizabeth gasped
"Uh, I think we already established that." Arthur commented sarcastically
I lightly hit his head.
"Don't be a meaner!" I snapped
"Hey, don't hit me!" Arthur yelled
"I do whatever I want, fur ball.."
Meliodas, Elizabeth and Hawk smiled a bit when they realized we were no threat. Meliodas walked a little closer to us.
"Who told you that you were a sin?" he puzzled
I shrugged.
"Well, now that we know you're a sin (Y/n), Elizabeth is trying to gather us sins up to stop the Holy Knights. I've been wanting to get the team together myself. It wouldn't hurt to have one more. Care to join us?" Meliodas offered with a warm smile
My expression brightened up by a lot. If there were such thing as a happiness scale, mines would've been broken.
"Yes!" I chirped
