Behind the walls of the prison the group is safe. They have food, water and the necessities, enough people to survive comfortably and are secure for the first time since their journey together in the apocalypse has started.

Tori and carl are grown enough to make their own life together. They can make choices by themselves, some good, some bad.

Inside the walls they're safe. The people of the prison can make a life and survive together. We can't guarantee safety for the rest of their lives, especially with a world like this, but it's worth it to enjoy the security of the prison. while they still can.

They can live together and stay strong, as a family.

VERY IMPORTANT ; READ

I started this story four years ago I think and I was not a good writer and I had no plans for this story, I was just gonna wing the whole thing and rn I'm going through and im editing what I can in my free time and I'm trying to get done as much as I possibly can but im really busy, I work everyday of the week and when I get home I sleep. there are a lot of chapters in this story so please be patient with me.

The prison is set up differently in very small places in the story and there are some minor errors with the way I describe the prison. leave it alone. please do not comment on my story saying "that's not why it looks like" etc.
I also want to inform you on the differences there are from the tv show and to this story.
I can't spoil anything but the situation with some characters is very different. //

Lori ; it's basically what happened with Andrea except she's not with the governor and was never with michonne. Lori was seen surrounded by walkers when the barn was attacked by the huge herd and shit went down, AFTER she had given birth to Judith she was separated with the group. so basically she had sex with Shane before rick even got shot. //

Carl ; this is a very different story from any other carl grimes stories on Wattpad. he is around 16 or 17. he's not thirteen and immature, he's responsible and comfortable in his own skin. so when the plot starts to speed up don't think it's ridiculous bc it happens in this current year a lot. tori helps him with deep pain he stores inside himself and together they overcome as learn to appreciate their experiences in the new world. //

Tori ; (main character) I am in the mere beginning of editing this story so a lot of shit is screwed up with her parents rn, im working on fixing the issue at hand so just bare with me please.
She's very emotionally attached to the people in the prison and when they lose one of their own she takes it hard and carl needs to be there with her to help her through it. //

Rick ; because of carls age he mostly gives him a free range when he's not working. he understands that carl has to grow and figure things out for himself and as long as carl isn't a danger to himself or others he's welcome to truly find himself and figure out what's going on in the world. rick is a lot more understanding too and currently in 'the walking dead' the tv show he is very untrusting, protective and overpowering, he's in that 'I will do anything to protect my group so don't fuck with me' mood, and he's still in the prison in my story so he is calm, collected and thinks about the decisions he makes very thoroughly before perusing them.
p.s ; the council is slightly different too. //

Governor // Woodbury ; the situation rick has with the governor isn't as big as an issue as it is in the tv series. the governor doesn't want the prison as much and isn't really out for rick. he just kinda wants to give him a run for his money and sometimes he takes things out of proportion. rick doesn't feed the fire most of the time and let's things be. Rick honors people they lose and that's that. //

People from Woodbury ; the citizens of Woodbury have moved themselves into the prison and away from the governor. governor is with the group after Woodbury happened. (y'know in like season three I think when he meets that girl with Tessa and her niece and the grandpa and he dies, that era of the tv show? Yeah and then he meets up with his two old soldiers that had abandoned him. yeah, that group of people.) [this explanation is complicated if you have not completed the entire series of 'the walking dead' so I'd suggest you go watch the seasons on netflix then come back.] the people from Woodbury are the elders, young children, their parents and the rest of the group that hadn't been murdered by the governor after the attack on the prison. //

Mika and Lizzie ; VERY different situation.
1. The girls were not left for carol to take care of.
2. Either one of their deaths were different (can't tell who's) and the way they pass is different.
3. I don't remember what i wrote about regarding their parent(s) but their dad does indeed die from a walker bite in this story. not in the same situation though.
4. the girls father does not give tori personal permission and / or any orders to look after the girls. she does it willingly.

Patrick ; immensely different situation. Patrick does not get sick. he does not turn and bite the rest of the prison. he loses his life from other ways in the story.

Sickness ; this is not a character but a major story line of the tv show. the prison does not get sick in this book. no one is infected with Patricks sickness bc he never gets sick. the pigs might be sick but I'm not 100% about what I wrote about that. it was too long ago to remember. bottom line is that the sickness is non-occurring and I will not write about it in the figure for this story. //

I would also like to say that some of the chapters in this book are like a page long and I'm so sorry about that. I'm working on it
