Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir (and Cheetah)

Chapter 6: Saving Adrien Agreste Pt. 1

I quietly sat in my chair while my teacher talked on about the physics. I wasn't paying attention as I was currently interested in doodling on a page in my sketchbook. I didn't like learning about this type of subject. I was drawing my form as 'Cheetah', making sure to give the outfit detail.

I noticed that everytime I transformed, My barrettes would turn into the ears. I even had the thick black lines right beside the lacrimal caruncle as a cheetah did. My eyes would turn a yellow gold too. But, I became irritated that I didn't have a weapon.

Ladybug has her yo-yo and Chat Noir has his pole. But, for me it was different, of course. The only things I could use to defend me was my claws, fangs, and super speed. Usually, I couldn't use super speed that often because it was my special ability. Just like Chat Noir's cataclysm.

I sighed, starting to outline the drawing. "Ji!" I heard my name being strictly called. I looked up to see Ms. Mendeleiev standing above me. "This is a class where you should not be doodling." She oppressively said. I felt all eyes on me, snickering in the background.

Heat rose to my face very quickly and I put away my sketchbook. I never liked how teachers would call out a student like that. At the very least, they can talk to the student after class. I mumbled something in Korean inaudibly. I looked at the clock, noticing that it wasn't even close to leave.

"Oh, well look whose here, class." Mendeleiev's voice grew quite irritated very quickly. I looked over to see a slightly tanned boy. He walked into the classroom lazily, feet slightly stomping on the ground. He had deep blue eyes and jet-black hair.

"Is there any reason why you are late, Mr. Ingri?"

The boy shrugged and sat down in an empty seat. Right next to me. "Probably because I don't want to be here?" He spoke, his voice deep. He gave Ms. Mendeleiev a smirk as she grumbled incoherent words. I heard that there were going to be a few new students coming here.

I noticed a white ring on his right thumb. It was so shiny that I could see my reflection in it. His hair was in a messy style, reminding me of Chat's. I continued to stare at him not noticing his deep blue orbs glanced at me.

"Enjoying the view, princess?" His voice broke my trance and I looked at him with wide, confused brown orbs. "U-Um.." Heat quickly rose to my cheeks again. "The names Mathew..." He winked, looking back to the front of the classroom.

I gawked at him. I decided to lay my head down, hiding my growing blush. "Ji!" Ms. Mendeleiev screamed. I shot up yelling: "Joesonghamnida!" I heard Mathew chuckle next to me. What a great first impression Ji. I scolded myself internally.

~Timeskip~

Marinette and I were at her mother's and fathers Boulangerie Patisserie. We were talking about an assignment that we were given in class. I also told her about Mathew Ingri. But, she apparently met him as she was walking to her class. I learned from her that he was from America.

"He looks so cute~" Marinette chimed. I rolled my eyes while she fangirled over the new student. He was cute, but not my type. I had developed a crush on Adrien over time. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I shrieked, my shoulders tensing up and I let go of my fork.

"Ah! Merci, Ji!" A familiar voice apologized. "Adrien! Don't do that!" I pouted and went to pick up my fork. Just as I was about to grab the silverware, his hand brushed against mine. He picked it up before I could. "You can have mine." He smiled and handed me his fork.

I gladly took the fork and put it on my plate. He gestured to the seat that was empty next to me. "Is it okay if I sit here?" Both Marinette and I nodded and he pulled the seat out and sat down.

-Marinette's POV-

I examined the two love birds in front of me. Adrien pulled out the chair quickly. But, I noticed he had moved the chair closer to Ji and sat down. My crush with Adrien disappeared soon after Ji had arrived. I smiled gently as I watched them two talk to each other.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I check it, noticing Alya had texted me. "Ah, I have to go do something with Alya. I'm so sorry Ji!" I quickly got up and waved to her and Adrien.

-Ji's POV-

I watched Marinette's figure disappear and sighed. Just when I needed her the most, she bails out. But, I understood that she needed to go do something with Alya. I fumbled with my fingers shyly. Adrien cleared his throat and spoke: "I heard about the new student today." He voice wavered.

I looked up at him. "He seems really...flirtatious. I saw him flirting with Marinette today in the hallway." He furrowed his eyebrows. My stomach flopped and my heart started to ache. "Oh. Really?" I tried to keep my voice from breaking, but it didn't work.

I blinked some tears away and tried to give Adrien a reassuring smile. "Maybe she doesn't mind at all. She seems to like him a lot." I grinned at him. The blond chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. "I just hope she doesn't get hurt." He mumbles to himself.

I looked down at my sketchbook that was sitting next to my cake. It was the picture I was drawing earlier. Adrien glanced down at my sketchbook and gasped. "That's really good, Ji!" He smiled widely, scooting closer to me to examine the picture.

I blushed deeply. "Thanks."

"I heard a lot about Cheetah. She seems really cute." Adrien kept staring down at the picture. I rose a brow. He thinks I'm cute? "Ohh Adrien!! I didn't know you were here!" An annoying screechy voice exclaimed. It was Chloé. I internally groaned and started to pack my sketch book away.

Adrien noticed this quickly and his face filled with sadness and confusion. "Where are you going?" He asked. I pondered on what to say for a minute. "My parents want me home quickly.." I lied. I didn't like Chloé at all. I had a confrontation with her shortly after I got here and I wasn't going to put up with her rudeness again.

He opened his mouth to say something, but I had just walked off before he could speak again.

~At Home (About 30 Minutes After)~

I slumped onto my bed, sighing contently as my body hit the comfortable covers that was placed on my mattress. I sat up and turned on my TV. Today was an interesting day..There's a new flirtatious student and Adrien probably has a crush on Marinette.

I shook my head. My attention went to my TV. There was a break news..

"There is another villain loose in Paris. Many people have been injured while escaping and some deceased. None of our heroes have arrived yet- Hopefully they will come sooner-" I shut off my TV and Hadi appeared out of nowhere. "Hadi transform me!"

After transforming, I climbed out of my window making sure to close it back afterwards. I wonder if Adrien was okay.
