It was my first day of my senior year at a new school and I was pretty nervous.

"Have a good day nadi." My dad kissed me on my forehead.

"Bye dad."

I got in my Audi making my way to school.

I was in the counselors office waiting for my schedule.

It took them almost forever.

"Mrs.jones I need a pass."

I looked up noticing that voice.

It was the girl from last night.

"Why are you always damn late tiana?"

"The McDonald's line be long." She whined taking the pass.

"Here ms. Nadirah." Mrs.jones held up my schedule.

I arise from my seat getting it.

"Tiana show her around her classes right quick, you need a friend other than them two Lil boys."

Tiana rolled her eyes heading to the door.

"Come on newbie."

"And this is the cosmetology room, I didn't even know we had this shit." She mumbled at the last part.

This school was big as hell and I'm going to have to do a lot of walking.

"Hey, did you enjoy last night?"

Her eyes wondered all over the floor.

"Yeah your mom can cook."

Damn to say I didn't like getting to know new people was an understatement.

"Well do-"

"Listen nadirah, I'm sorry but I don't need need a new friend. No offense to you but-"

"Oh, it's no biggie." I nodded my head.

The bell rang and it was time to go to lunch.

So much for a new start....
