My name is Anastasia. I'm  17 and a senior in high school who doesn't have many friends. I have exactly 2 friends, their names are Jason and Lavina. Jason is gay but really hot, and Lavina is drop dead gorgeous but hates herself more than you think.

I decide to wear a pair of white jeans with a pink crop top and my pink and white Jordans. I put my hair in a messy bun. My hair is kind of long, it's almost half way down my back. I grab my bag for school and head down the stairs to reveal silence and nobody in the house.

My parents work all the time. They travel due to the fact that they own 4 companies. I mean you could say we are wealthy, but I never see the money. We live in a nice house, well, I live in a nice house since I'm here all the time by myself. I have a 2017 Honda its all white with black leather seats. You would think that my parents bought me the car as a way to say, 'Sorry that we aren't ever home, but we love you,' but that's not the case. My grandparents bought me the car, and, my aunt helped with it too. They're always calling to check up on me and make sure I'm okay.

My aunt and I are very close, so close that I look at her as being my mother. If it wasn't for the family photos and pictures of my parents hanging on the walls, then I honestly would forget what they looked like, its sad I know. I snap out of my thoughts as I hear a knock on the door. I go to the door to be met by Jason and Lavina.

"Hey gore-," Lavina paused and looked at me in concern. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, why?" I asked in confusion.

Jason looked at me like I was oblivious, "Your crying," he said as he reached up to my face.

Before he could touch my face, I turn around and go into the nearest bathroom. Sure enough I was crying and I didn't even notice. I wipe my eyes as I walk back out of the bathroom to see my best friends holding sad expressions on their faces.

"Sorry, I'm okay." I say, but they give me a look. "I promise."

"Why were you crying?" Jason said with determination to find out the truth.

     "I don't know, I'm fine.....oh yeah, I sprayed perfume in my eyes."

"Hmmm is that so?" She said with a look in her eyes. "Your lying. I want the truth and I want it now," Lavina said in a stern voice.

     "We," Jason said.

She looked at him then corrected herself, "Right, we want the truth."

I sigh knowing that we wont leave until I tell them.

I give them a look of defeat and tell them why I was crying. "Fine, I was thinking about my parents and how they are never here. I was just wishing that everything was different, I mean yeah work, but also spend time with your daughter too you know?" They nod at my question. "It just sucks and hurts. I have my aunt who took me under her wing ever since I could remember honestly. Yeah she lives in New York but, she visits every other weekend or every weekend. My own damn mother can't even send me a text to see how I'm doing or how my life is going. It just hurts so bad."

My friends instantly hug me, as I sob into their arms. They are my biggest support system that I have daily. We pull apart after a few minutes and I wipe my eyes.

"Girl you are perfect and you will be fine. I swear you will. Everything will be okay." Jason tried to reassure me.

"Yeah, and we'll make sure of it." Lavina said with a bright and reassuring smile on her face.

I smile and say, "I love you guys."

"We love you too," Jason and Lavina both say in sync.

After our sad little moment, we walked out of my house to my car.

"Why am I always the one to take us to school? You guys have perfectly working cars, and you also have your license, so you also know how to drive." I looked at them with confusion in my eyes.

They laugh as Jason says, "Cause you have an updated car and we don't. Hahaha nah, just kidding, but we like your car more, and you never say anything about taking one of our cars, so why fuss if we're saving gas?"

"He does have a good point," Lavina said as I nodded in agreement.

We all laugh again before we put on our seat belts then pull out of my driveway and down the street. As I'm driving we make small talk on the way to school.

"Omg, have you guys seen Chase's Instagram page lately?" Jason says as we turn out of the neighborhood.

"No, but I've been looking at Tray's, omg he's so hot!" Lavina said as she pulled out her phone to show us.

"You guys are so goofy and annoying," I said while laughing at them.

"I'm so offended you said such a thing," Jason said in mock hurt. "Why?"

"You guys have the biggest crush on them, yet you wont talk to them."

"Uhhh, I cant," Jason says as it should be obvious.

I look at him like he's stupid and say, "Why? Why cant you possibly go talk to a guy you like so much?"

"Cause it's harder for him Anastasia, he is gay after all," Lavina says in a duh tone.

"Yeah, I don't know if he is gay or not because he doesn't look gay, he doesn't talk gay,  and he doesn't act gay. Also on his Instagram, in his bio it says, 'love bad bitches'.....I cant go up to him and be like, 'hey so your hot, I want to be your man and make love to you," He says in agreement with Lavina.

We all get silent and then burst out into laughter.

"See, it's not easy Anastasia," she says in between fits of laughter.

I look in my mirror to look at Lavina, then back at the road.

"What's your excuse Lavina? Your straight and whatever but yet you wont talk to Tray, hmmmm why?" I look at her waiting for an explanation.

"Cause I choose not too. He has so many girls throwing themselves at him, that I don't want to get rejected because I don't have a lot," she said in a 'it's as simple as that' voice.

I instantly feel bad because she's right, Tray is hot and he does have a lot of girls throwing themselves at him. He accepts but only for the day, I never heard of him fucking a girl but I have heard of him kissing girls and that's it. Its like he's low key interested in someone but he cant accept who it is, so he needs a distraction. Yeah, Lavina doesn't have a lot, she does live in an apartment that's old and has a lot of violence, but she's well respected through the streets or the bad part of town.
