Paper Plane #10,671 | eighth grade
I desperately try to fix my hair in the girls bathroom. It refuses to stay in a ponytail, and I'm already late for class. The door opens, announcing the presence of another person. In a normal world you would expect another girl to walk in, but it is none other than Logan. Why am I not surprised?
"GET OUT!" I scream.
"Shh!" he says quietly, handing me a paper plane before running back out.
One day I will have a nervous break down because of him. He has absolutely no boundaries. Inside the paper plane is printed in nice clear letters, Will you go to the graduation dance with me?
I know I am going against my whole 'do not engage with the enemy' idea, but I kind of want to go with him. I like him a little, but we're just friends. I plan on keeping in that way. I don't have a problem with going to the dance with him though. I exit the bathroom with the feeling that he is right outside the door. He is. I hand the paper plane back to him.
"Fine," I say, smiling a little.
He grins. "I knew you'd say yes one day," he says, running off to the class we are both late to.
