Chapter 31: Partners

Sunny's POV:

"Ok so how do we find him?"

"Find who?"-Jungkook stopped walking and looked at me.

Its 4 in the afternoon and we just finished classes.

"That bastard who killed your parents."

"Ohhhh... are you serious? Like right now?"-Jungkook.

"We should start early so that we could find him right away!"

"You know Sunny... that guy who bothered us.. the one who shot me infront of you.. its him. He's the murderer."-Jungkook.

I suddenly got frightened. So it means he's only here roaming around the city. And he could come back at us anytime.

"Are you alright?"-Jungkook.

"Uhh... yeah. Of course. Lets go?"

We started by going to police stations and asking for the list wanted persons but we still can't find him.

"You know what? I think I should bring you home. Its getting dark. Lets just continue tomorrow."-Jungkook.

"Ok then."

He held my hand and we walked while holding hands.

"Sunny... honestly I'm afraid."-Jungkook.

"Of what?"

"Afraid of getting you involved with this case. That man is a psycho. And it means since you're getting involved, its like you're also in danger. What if I'll just do it by myself—"-Jungkook.

"Lets do this together. I know its dangerous but we could do this. Besides, an angel like you is enough to protect me."

He just smiled.

After a few minutes of walking, talking and laughing we finally reached our house.

"Well then I'll see you tomorrow."

I was about to wave him goodbye when he pulled me for a hug.

He kissed my forehead and looked at me straight to the eyes.

"Take care of yourself ok? And remember to call me when you need me. I'll always be there."-Jungkook.

"I will so don't worry about me ok?"

He nodded.

"Bye!"-I waved him goodbye as I watched him went in his house which is just beside ours.

"Sunny!!"-Jimin.

"What now?!"

Its already 9 PM and he's screaming!!

"I thought mom and dad's coming home... but they cancelled their flight."-Jimin.

He kinda looked upset. I sat beside him on the couch and we both looked at our family picture on the coffee table.

"I miss them too..."

"It also feels empty to live without mom and dad.."-Jimin.

Then Jungkook came into my mind....

I wonder how he survived without his parents...

"Why are you so quiet?"-Jimin.

"Nothing. Something just came to my mind."

We both stared at the family picture infront of us.

"Sunny. You remembered everything right?"-Jimin.

"Yeah... but there's really something missing. I think there's still something that I can't remember."

"Maybe its—nevermind."-Jimin.

Weird.

"But I still can't believe that you and jungkook are already in a relationship."-Jimin

I turned my head to look at him.

"Why though?"

"I thought you would end up with Tae hahahahahah!"-He laughed.

I just laughed with him. Taehyung is my friend and nothing more! Hahahhaha!

"Stop with the jokes Jimin-ah hahahhaha!"

We had a bonding together as we always do. We watched movies until dawn and ate popcorn and played videogames

Until I was shocked to see Jungkook sitting beside.

"What the—"-I threw all the popcorn to him.

I was damn shocked! We watched a horror movie like bruh!

"What was that for?!"-Jungkook.

"What are you doing here?"-Jimin.

"Oh its Jimin-hyung. I didn't see you back there. You know... height issues."-Jungkook.

I wasn't able to prevent myself from laughing because of what he said.

Jimin threw a pillow on Kookie's face.

"I'll leave you guys here. Don't do anything stupid—"-Jimin.

I kicked his ass which made him laugh and walk upstairs.

"Seriously though. Why are you here?"

"I can't sleep."-Jungkook.

"And?"-I asked.

He suddenly pulled me closer until I was already leaning on his shoulder.

"What is it Kookie?"

"Nothing... I just wanna be beside you right now. I'm still worried about you."-Jungkook.

"I told you, I'm gonna be fine. I won't let him hurt me."

"You can call me anytime anyways. So please yell my name right away."-Jungkook.

I nodded and we both remained silent.

"I remember... we used to hang out until midnight when we were young... we were just like this."-Jungkook.

I smiled at that thought.

"Then we would always prank Jimin while he's asleep."

We both laughed remembering each memory we had.
