Deflowered - the five stages

{Acceptance}

The universe has often pleaded defense on my behalf, but this was credulity to it's core.
I mistook the alcoholic lust,
for readiness in which he deflowered me
before I could even comprehend the act of regret.
One whisky shot too many,
a stupid game of "I've never"
and one thing led to another.
And I was no longer the innocent,
pure girl content on following the rules.
The no sex before marriage
or at least wait for a heart-wrenching experience.
The impeccable,
well- thought out,
20 years of commitment,
courage and resisting temptation at all cost.
Had come to an end- the wait was over.
