Vengeance for Power || 𝙽𝚎𝚡𝚘 𝙺𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜 ~ 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝟏

Part 2 - The re-encounter

Liza strolled down the stairs for breakfast. Her mother was already there making it.

"Good morning! Your father's still away. He called and said he wouldn't be back for a month." she said.

Liza frowned. "Well, I guess that's alright." She sat down and ate some breakfast.

"That's a nice necklace you've got. Where'd you get it?" Her mother asked. Liza looked down at her necklace. She had connected the emerald gem to a string and put it around her neck so it wouldn't get lost.

"Um...I found it on the beach." she lied.

"You find a lot on the beach. Well Lizzi, I've got a promotion in my job." Her mother said, sitting down. 

"That's great."

"But I need to go out of town for around 2 or 3 months. You are old enough to be alone, or do you want to stay with Aaron? I can call him." her mother suggested. 

The choice was obvious. "Aaron! Can I go with Aaron?" 

'2 whole months with the Nexo Knights?' Liza thought excitedly. 

Her mother came back."I called Aaron. He said it'll be alright. They'll come in their castle thing to pick you up in around an hour." 

"yeah that's great." Liza said, half daydreaming about the things she could do with the Nexo Knights. 

"Wow! It's 8:45 already? Lizzi, I got to go, see you! Bye!" her mother flew out the door in a hurry.

Liza didn't realize she was alone till the clock struck 9:00. When she jolted up, she grinned. 

Liza rushed up the stairs but instead of turning to her room, she went the other way: to Aaron's room. Aaron had told her to never go in, but today she felt daring. 

She went in and started to scavenge for anything. She knew that Aaron kept his old academy stuff here.

"She soon went through all the boxes and trunks except one. 'this must b e it@'she thought, filling up with excitement. She gently lifted up the lid, and sure enough, it was there.

"Aaron's junior shield!" Liza held it up. It flickered on automatically. 'Aaron doesn't use or need it anymore so I can use it!' she thought. She then slid it under her feet and used it like a hove-shield all the way down the stairs.

On the way down the stairs, she thought, 'Now that I have a shield, I need a weapon!' So instead of stopping in the kitchen, she continued outside.

The house wasn't in the village, you had to go down a little to get there. Liza continued down the path till she got to the village, where she could buy her new weapon!

As she approached,, she jumped off the shield and walked in. There wasn't a lot of people, but there were many stalls. Liza walked up to the man who own the weapons stall.

"Hello, I'm Liza and I need a weapon." she introduced. 

"Okay. Let's see." said the man, "I've got a lovely mace the works fine, or maybe an axe would suit you better?"

"Erm....how about something the Knights haven't got? You know...."

"Sure, sure. How about this recently made Nun-chucks?"

Liza looked at it. She wasn't to good with co-ordination. "How about something more....techy?" she asked hopefully.

"Ah yes. How about this?" He handed Liza a hand sized blaster. "Here, if you press this button, it turns into a sword. If you press this button, it's a grappling hook gun. You can also use it as a normal blaster too." he explained.
