-1 Week Later-
I smiled into the mirror as I fixed my hair, but immediately frowned at the thought of what I was going to do. I was going to break up with Liam. And this time, it's not that we just need time, we need space. Like 50 years of space.
"Zaria! Liam's waiting." Luke called up the stairs. I sighed and put on my diamond earring before making my way down the steps.
"Thanks, Luke." He nodded in reply as I walked out of the door.
"Hey." Liam was leaning backwards against his car. "You wanted to talk?"
"Yeah. We don't need to go far." I didn't get in his car. Instead, I looked him dead in the eyes and said, "Liam, we're done."
His expression haunts my memory. It turned from shock, to anger as he looked over at Blake, my date. I gave Liam a small wave as I climbed into Blake's car.
"Hello, beautiful." He smiled.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we pulled out of my driveway, leaving an angry Liam by himself.
"The grill." He joked.
"For our first date, you're taking me to the grill." I said clearly unamused. He smirked.
"Just be patient." His alarming blue eyes pierced mine as if they were daggers, cutting into my soul.
Woah, a little to deep?
I watched the road as we continued through a small area just east of my house.
"Here we are."
I looked up at the tall building in front of us. A large sign said, 'Nation's Best Pies.' I snickered.
"Really? I bet they don't even have banana fudge." I chuckled as I got out of the car and pulled my sunglasses over my eyes.
"And maybe you're in for a surprise." Blake pulled my sunglasses off of my face and kissed me. I pulled away.
"Pie?" I said awkwardly. He nodded and showed me into the restaurant.
"Banana Fudge, and Apple." Blake handed me my sunglasses and took out his wallet.
"I can pay." I said taking out my own. He waved me off, and paid the man behind the counter.
"You pies vill ve done vin a vinute." His weird accent made me smile as he played with the ends of his mustache.
"Thanks..." I mumbled as I sat down at a table.
"Told you." Blake laughed deeply.
A few minutes later we were both served a piece of pie. The chocolate basically melted off of mine.
"Mmm..." I said after the first bite. I reached over and took a bite of Blake's pie. He did the same, except he took almost half my piece of pie. "Hey!"
"Whoops." He popped the whole piece into his mouth.
"Wow." I said sarcastically.
"Wow..." he said back.
After we were done we headed back to the mansion to find Liam's whole family already there trying to calm him down.
"Oh man..." I muttered as I looked at Liam. He looked back at me, and got into his car. He revved the engine as he took off.
"He's always like that when he's super upset about something." Ethan said as he approached us.
"Oh." I sighed.
I laid awake that night thinking about my life decisions. It's true, Liam wasn't very protective of me. But Ethan was, and Blake just seemed to much like Liam. What's my choice?
Whatever Life Throws At Me.
